i can understand naniwa after being kicked out of GSL this is his first major tourny where it's laggin as shit. guess the lag was similar for strelok as well but if u are used playing without lag games are evolving quite a bit different.
think of it: being a professional football (i mean soccer) player and the ball suddenly has not enough air inside. game will be going different for sure. i can understand him blaming the organizers because so do i. he was not bming towards strelok at any point.
whatever, haters gonna hate...

Well, nani is as always a bit of a dick. Still, it is his decision to participate or not, and if he feels the technical problems are to great, he has gotta do what he has gotta do. But don't let that overshadow the terrible job IEM is doing. Another tournament with big technical problems? You're dropping the ball. Again.

They shouldve just made Strelok play without a chair to even it out

Lets not cut the grass for the football players next so they cant play their game and see what happends, this might be a smaller scale than big football tournaments but its still the same principle. It's more like quitting the football game because it started raining. You can't control bnet .20. If the ref tells you to play a football game when it's raining, you have to play, otherwise you would have disrespected your fans.
Everyone else has to play in laggy conditions as well and they're running on a schedule...
It's just unfortunate, but if you can't play when everyone else seems to be relatively ok with it, then you're just display unprofessional behavior.
I've been a Naniwa supporter for a while, but it's just disappointing that he lets these things get in his way.

I don't see the respect in inviting a player, then forcing them to play with lagg after a one and a half hour wait, either.

they actually are

Naniwa withdraws from the entire tournament? Oh man...
The drama this week is absolutely out of control. I hope this goes unnoticed because of everything else going on.

I dont think pro gaming is for you if you cant take a little lag because really this will happend again
So disappointed We have no idea how laggy it is or how many problems there are. So just shut it if you have no idea about the issues and how serious they are.

ROFL dude your on TL....this shit probably already exploded on Reddit again, wont be long before there is a specific thread started in SC2 general if mods allow ofc (i wouldnt allow though)

Naniwa left the tournament.
By the way, I've watched on Strelok's stream that he really really hates lag, it sets him off tremendously. But he remained calm and did his best in this situation. Props to Strelok.

If they did, i agree with naniwa. Or did they let them pause and wait? If so, then bad naniwa. They paused multiple times throughout the series, didn't help. Why not delay the games until the lag is fixed? Did iem force them to keep playing?
There already was a 2 hour delay, they played anyways. Dunno about forced, but meh...too little information.

Never seen someone who trains so hard to win to autodestruct right after. Is there a tournament he hasn't dissed somehow?
Only the MLG he won, every tournament after that he has caused some unneeded drama.

And you know this how, I hate how everyone hates on Naniwa because he can't be bothered to play in these diabolical circumstances, he flew over to a tournament and they couldn't even set it up properly and he gets the shit? You guys make no sense.

So guessing ppl dont feel like I am, but to accept bad conditions all the time doesnt put any pressure on tournaments. They need to feel like the environment they are going to show NEED to be perfect, who in GSL would accept playing with lag? None. Its just so damn messed up ppl are defending tournaments that is really terrible.

Via @IntelIEM I lost all the respect i had for that guy... what a whiny kid. Yeah, how dare he request proper conditions to play his profession? Bring the torches!
Are you kidding me ? Quantic payed his ticket to Kiev and IEM invited him, then he withdraw from a tournament because of " technical problems " ( which can be solved anyways... )
He is just an immature kid. Probably he left because he is pissed that he lost against Strelok.

So disappointed yeah and saying he has 10 sec lag while microing fairly well.
ah well, i dislike him anyway so i'm not disappointed. strelok surely had the same lag, as he mentioned he had some too.
