I don't approve of what Stephano did, but I don't really care, it's something I'm not surprised he would do. It's like being shocked that Idra didn't GG in a game. Stephano goes to his own beat. We were equally appalled by Tumba's comments and we told him to cut it out. His comments were inappropriate and only made a bad situation worse. I know my decision wasn't perfect, but because Stephano logged off I had to make a pretty quick decision and that was the best I could do. We have barcrafts watching this tournament. I didn't want them to go home without seeing a final. Best, Deric Ortiz

People aren't going to show up at a bar on a monday afternoon to watch one series of starcraft Did you read the "theoretical"? And how I stated these two measures can be seen as industry standard responses? And how the actual decision deviates from that? And how it also is understandable given the circumstances? And that it still means that boundaries of tournament integrity are being bent, while in a show-match setting it would be better applicable? He never reads TL nor reddit and couldnt give two fucks what the community thinks about him, his team Millenium doesnt care about their image outside of France so there will be zero consequences from this side. Just doing his thang, stomping fools left and right and going to bed when hes tired. Boss. yeah such a boss, ditching all responsibility and only caring about himself. so edgy. sometimes I truly wonder how old some of the people on TL are.

If Federer decided to pull out of a semi final (even in a minor tournament) for no other reason than "he didn't feel it," he would get a crap ton of shit for it. But he knows his responsibilities unlike stephano. Federer is also paid pretty heavily to show up, so he's able to plan for it well in advance. Not to mention, they don't schedule tennis matches for whenever the previous one ends -- they have specific times to be there and to leave if the match keeps going.

On offline tournaments it's not an issue to play on US times, but for online tournies it's a different beast since that means finals etc are being played in the middle of the night for europeans. Sure, for Kas it's even later and he's still there and I'm personally awake even though it's past 4am, but I still understand his decision. I think it's sad it came to this, but I understand both onog and Stephano. Tumba lost every ounce of what little respect I had for him however and I'll boycot casts by him in the future for sure.
