I was talking about skill level not results How do you judge skill level if not by results? Opinions, fanboyism and racial hatred are the generally accepted methods of declaring one player is better than the other when we ignore results. well in using results we are making assumptions on people skill level as well, "look huk lost to these players, therefore huk isnt playing that well" what makes losing to kas/seiplo/hasuobs etc a bad thing? youre making an assumption based on fanboyism, opions etc to determine through results how good huk is. Also, whos to say kas didnt play the game of his life that series? when hasuobs beat huk, maybe huk cancelled warp gate? you cant just look at a result and say THIS PLAYER IS NOW BETTER, you need to look at a huge number of games and see how they play, how they react under pressure, blah blah blah so many factors. Not gonna disagree with you. There are a LOT of factors to determine it, and I questioned vanhio's call as well. But just saying skill-level wise is incredibly subjective because people perceive moves in different ways. for the record i am not saying huk is better than jyp, nor disagreeing that jyp is better than huk, i dont know who is better i just think its too hard to say between them, especially when you are using results as your measure
Glad we agree there. Silly to talk about skill levels using one parameter.

You mean going 1-2 in a very hard group? In that case I guess you can't take Thorzain seriously? I find it hard to take you seriously now =P

It's hard to get if you didnt watch :< ret just wants haypro off the team so he can move up to #1 zerg, but the banjo is here to stay
And there comes TLO from the shadow to take the spot from both.

Nice block by Naama! Let's see if he gets contained by the three gate pressure off a single reactor

I was talking about skill level not results Wow and here I thought those 2 things were related. of course they are related, but one doesnt determine skill soley based on results. And if we are looking at results, why are we looking at vs euro results? if youre going to look at results look at GSL results, korean players are on a different level to euro's It's not like he's doing great in GSL either and if Koreans are on a different level why is he constantly losing to euros he has been in code S for awhile, he would still be in code S under the old format. And at any rate thats far better than JYP. He has to travel to Euro to play on euro home turf, and he doesnt deal with travel well while having being on the move barely training for weeks on end, meanwhile the euros are playing 12hours a day, then travelling half the distance at most, what do you expect?
People expect him to understand his own priorities and balance training with traveling and competing. No one's forcing Huk to go to these tournaments afaik. Thus, traveling is just not an excuse.

I like how Incontrol is the play-by-play commentator when Thorzain and Cloud are commentating with him. He does that very well too.

I'm loving the commentary this tournament. I'm so sad it happens at ridiculous o'clock for me... it's so good to hear guys with such intimate high end knowledge talking about what's going on.

What? we are talking about skill level here, of course its up to him to make sure he plays his best at tournaments, but we arent talking about that.
