Maybe when the trend of KR > Foreigners in live events stops being part of reality, then people will stop making excuses about lag and stuff. As it stands now, Koreans almost always come out on top in live events, so naturally people will explain that lag plays a big role in foreigner success in online events. It's hard to say how much lag actually plays a part in the outcomes of things, but it's very easy to understand why people use lag as an excuse for Koreans in online events in the face of how Koreans typically dominate foreigners at live, lag-less events.

There is lag but that doesn't mean the games were lost because of lag, you need to get your eyes checked if you think that, yeah, late game micro sucks a bit but it's not horrible, sometimes I miss emps tvz and lose a ghost tvp, but aside from some wonky storms DRG's infestor micro I don't think it was THAT big of a deal.

Even though I agree with you about the lag complaints are silly excuses. There is a big difference between serbia and sweden though in terms of location and broadband infrastructure.
