Can't go to lunch without coming back to 20+ reports. This makes me upset. Stop the bullshit or get ready to hammered. Thanks --Pholon |
I don't see how anyone can justify not killing the tech structures.
He was already walking around inside Leenock's main, derping around, being indecisive. It's not like he had to go out of his way to do it. Killing every tech structure in that base would have taken him maybe 20 seconds in real time to do.
You mean to tell me that taking 20 seconds to knock Leenock back into the stone age and solidify your advantage wouldn't have been worth it?

Khaldor was being biased. Just like me saying Polt will rape.

Killing tech = no more army for a little while forcing Leenock to rebuild spawning pool, or kill econ and force more building of hatcheries?

Leenock would've just rebuilt them at his other base. All he built in the end were zerglings and banelings. Naniwa could've taken out the Hive and the Greater Spire but what would have been the point?
I don't understand why the commentators keep emphasizing this point. As soon as Naniwa started working on the tech Leenock would've just started rebuilding them and it would've bought him time to make a bigger army as well.
The zerg tree doesn't allow the rebuilding of everything that fast. He kills teh Hive nest spawning pool spire infestation pit and ya Leenock coulda rebuilt em but it woulda taken 5 minutes. 5 minutes of no units basiclly insures a win for naniwa Just killing the baneling nest and spawning pool would have won him the game. Not really lol. Leenock still had an eco, it would have bought him more time, which would most likely have won him the game (i.e delayed the baneling attack that killed most of his probes)
I bet Nani just assumed Leenock didn't leave it to chance and rebuilt core tech else where

at least Naniwa's training in korea has really paid off

It's funny how you people care so much about 1g probably more than BOTH the players themselves. it's funny how you overreact on overreaction How is pointing out an error/overreaction an overreaction in itself?
sure if you look at it that way
then you can look at original claim as just making his opinion.
anyway how are you feeling that Naniwa lost?

Eh, it's not that big a deal, but just a small sign of sportsmanship all players should be capable of, especially as a foreigner with an already bad reputation in a country that cares more about respect than the west does.
Oh, you're talking about Korea. I was very puzzled, thinking you were talking about Sweden.

Really enjoying these games, but I gotta admit I really wish Tastosis were casting. I know that casting live must be an extremely tough job but I find both these two so hard to listen to.

this poll is kind of silly... naniwa did like 2 shots on each of the pool and greater spire.. he had to do 1 more shot on each to kill it. 4 seconds saved isnt worth not killing those Killing the spawning pool and the baneling nest is the most he should've done, but a baneling net is very easy to replace and Naniwa likely expected Leenock to have a spare. I don't think it would've made a difference either way.
Think about it this way. Killing the pool and the Nest means Leenock would have to build the pool.
While building the pool, Leenock wouldn't have been able to build ANY units. And then when the pool is finally finished, he would have to build the Nest. Yeah, all that time would've allowed Naniwa to move through the map and destroy Leenock.

But if Z has so many bases and such a strong economy, it is really hard to pull something off. Still Naniwa should have killed the tech, would have won him the game. Better player lost there imho. Naniwa's control was outstanding, Leenock was smart though. How biased are you? He played better? He was getting taken apart all game and Leenock had a bad engagement, overextending into storms and it allowed Naniwa back into the game.
To be honest, I have to say you're both wrong, Leenock didnt take Naniwa apart all game. He had a 3rd base, he sniped a hatch with DT's, the mutas never killed probes and killed like 1 building, he did about as good as he could against mutas in PvZ. Leenock didnot pick naniwa apart except for the unlucky baneling run-in when naniwa went to defend mutas.
I would say they played pretty equally, so equally that it may have just come down to that one decision of what to do with the army
