You can definitely see that Naniwa was a former WC3 player right at the end there.

No, in WC3 you would always kill the production buildings in that situation. All 3 of them :p

haha yes that would be gg

If Naniwa had killed the tech then he'd have been against a hugely spread out three base Zerg with 10 probes for even longer, with Leenock having a good amount of spines.

Honestly, he was in a lot of trouble whatever he did. He wasn't ahead at any point, and certainly didn't "throw the game".

this poll is kind of silly... naniwa did like 2 shots on each of the pool and greater spire.. he had to do 1 more shot on each to kill it. 4 seconds saved isnt worth not killing those

Damnit Naniwa. You had that. Why did you not just take the 10 seconds to destroy his pool and baneling nest. Why Naniwa?

He played better than Leenock. But if Z has so many bases and such a strong economy, it is really hard to pull something off.
Still Naniwa should have killed the tech, would have won him the game.
Better player lost there imho. Naniwa's control was outstanding, Leenock was smart though.

This is silly. Of course we knew the right decision because we saw the entire map. He obviously made the wrong decision but it's not as clear cut as people think it is.

Probably would have been hard for Naniwa even if he took out the tech. A major blow was also that zergling run-by killing a bunch of reinforcing High Templars.

What would have been the point of taking out the tech?

Leenock would've just rebuilt them at his other base. All he built in the end were zerglings and banelings. Naniwa could've taken out the Hive and the Greater Spire but what would have been the point?

I don't understand why the commentators keep emphasizing this point. As soon as Naniwa started working on the tech Leenock would've just started rebuilding them and it would've bought him time to make a bigger army as well.

Because killing the tech would've delayed Leenock in building units.

Which means Leenock wasn't morphing Banes right away and destroy most of Naniwa's army.

In a game of inches and time, Naniwa needed time. Destroying tech would've given Naniwa little bit more time.

What the hell is doa talking about?

You never target zerg econ late game, they have thousands of minerals and larva waiting to redrone, you go for tech buildings, spawning pools, and cripple their unit production...

Naniwa would never have lost his 60 supply army if he killed the banelings nest, you can blink away from zerglings forever.

Of course ! And when you killed the tech, you have a window to kill the econ as the zerg can't produce units for a pair of minutes.
Seriously, seeing Naniwa WALKING past the tech with an army that could fucking ONE SHOT THE TECH was a terrible moment, I'm so angry omg...
