Did he really say this? What a joke. Wolf, you're full of shit. If anything, Naniwa did GOM and blizzard a favor: attitude gets attention, and people love the entertainment.

That's all fine and good, people can play for whatever reason they want, but there are many teams in the NFL that won't make the playoffs this year. Do they go out there and give half-ass performances? Rams put on a show last night (until the 4th quarter) and they're 2-11. The difference is, professionals play even when they have nothing to gain because they have a reputation to uphold, sponsors to play for, and fans to play for. Naniwa slapped Gom, his fans, and Nestea in the face by not playing this game. I'm not a fan of any of the players involved or an anti-fan, but the blatant disregard that Naniwa had for all other aspects of his decision-making shows how completely immature and not-ready he is to be a professional ANYTHING, let alone a professional on a world-wide level.

Glad we could get done with Naniwa vs Nestea and go on to the real games

So... can we all agree that Naniwa is the new Idra? It's always disappointing to see a very good player tilt dramatically and suffer for it.
I don't think a ban of any sort is in order... Naniwa certainly played by the letter of the law, if not the spirit of the law. If any sanctions or punishment comes down, it should be from his team, not GOM.

Professional organizations need to also watch their reputation. If all they are doing is catering to spoiled brats, it speaks to the maturity and professionalism of the league. They need to explain why people shouldn't be ashamed to have their product represented by this league.
Showmanship and entertainment is one thing, compromising the integrity of the game is whole other thing. I don't like how people are DOWN playing this.
What is the difference between this and match fixing? Yes, nothing was on the line, but he is still getting paid almost as much as a Runner Up of Code A. And Naniwa couldn't come anywhere close to getting that, since it's also hard as hell to get.
A lot of the arguments are very objective, including mine, the bottom line should be (repeat): How is this different from match fixing? Coca got pulled for GSL completely. Player in the past had much worse consequences. There isn't any betting or money changing hands this time, but standards of professionalism need to be set and enforced for the sport to be taken seriously and not turn into a sideshow or joke.

Congrats to Leenock and Polt going through. MMA looking beast mode as always. Nestea has fallen soo far, what has happened to him?

Why do people say that naniwa is getting cheesed every single game? When he is the one who ALWAYS Eco cheeses and is getting punished. Most of the Koreans are going early pressure but since naniwa plays so greedy, they look like all ins because they are doing so much damage to him.
If the problem is with him getting cheese, couldn't he just play more conservative and come out ahead each time?

This is different from match fixing because the outcome of this match is 100% irrelevant to the tournament, or the players involved. There is no difference between this match and a televised practice match. Remember when Huk played Boxer in BW at IPL3 and talked major shit and preemptively GG'd? It's the same as that. Period.

If there were betting lines out of these matches it's absolutely unacceptable regarding that as well. I doubt Naniwa researched that so it's morally the same decision. Well, there aren't "betting lines" in these matches so the game is TOTALLY pointless, why don't you step out of your sphere of believing that this world is all good and why don't you stop crying at every little thing, ok? Also, where were your thoughts on all of idras premature rage quits? all of his bm? Where were you then Nazgul. Seriously, fuck off, baby. LOL... 40 posts... mindless rant... you're way out of line man.

I'm pretty sure Nazgul, and everyone else on TL planet has voiced their opinions, good and bad, on Idra's premature rage quits and bm. That has nothing to do with the situation at hand.
Enjoy your ban, btw.

so I didnt expect anything from naniwa, but totally did not expect this
like I said before, naniwa is nothing compared to nestea, and I am interested to see how he lives with this decision he made, and everyone else sees him for what he is, an elitist prick

I realize I'm quoting an old post (just woke up and reading through the thread), but you do realize that a worker rush hardcounters a 7 pool, right? It's ironic that your supposed "legit" strategy for Nestea would've been beaten by Nani's strat that supposedly "cannot work."

Are there not? Doesn't pinnacle sports offer betting on this tournament?

idra's premature rage quits were at least partially based on something (thinking that huk was super far ahead/mma still having the gold expo)
anyone else think it's hilarious that naniwa was telling nestea to chill out before all this, and he's the one that blows his top?

Was he mad at anyone except his own play? I think you're projecting here...

its not who he was mad at, its the fact that he spends all this time acting like a big shot, telling his rival to chill out, and then he goes and acts like a child
