That last match means literally nothing for both of the players and shouldn't even have been played. It's a stupid format. There are other people's interests to consider rather than Nani's you know...

People want E-sports to be seen as a real sport, if you want that same treatment, you better play the game like its a real sport, throwing games is highly frowned upon in any physical sport. Even if the game meant nothing.

Open your eyes and take a look around the thread at what everyone else is saying. It's not about whether or not worker rushing is a "valid ladder strat" or whether Naniwa was "mad at being all inned". Those are shitty excuses and make you look stupid.

They have an almost 0% chance of winning their next 3 games (last one could happen) and have absolutely nothing to play for at all. If anything they have something to gain by losing (drafting andrew luck). Yet they are required and EXPECTED to play as hard as they can to win. And they will. Because they are a professional team. Yes I can understand why Nani did what he did. But it is extremely unprofessional of him. I had been quite impressed by his play in this tournament and wasn't turned off by his BM at MLG, I thought that was okay. This? I hope he loses all his Code S games and goes straight to Code B now, he deserves it. Yeah, I gotta agree there. If there was any hint of throwing such a game there would be outcry. There should be the same here. I'm sure Naniwa won a lot of antifans tonight. I'm one of them.

If there were betting lines out of these matches it's absolutely unacceptable regarding that as well. I doubt Naniwa researched that so it's morally the same decision. Deal with it. Stop trying to rev up all this drama.

We want PROFESSIONALISM in ESPORTS, fuck how the players feel. -_-

Any other protoss would have lost instantly against those two terran builds yet Naniwa managed to make them entertaining, pretty sure only he could have done that. I can completely understand Naniwa getting tilted by constant cheese and what appears to be clear pvt imbalance and just deciding, fuck today, let's go out with a bang. He doesn't deserve any criticism for what happened, these types of actions create storylines, develops character perception and makes starcraft a hell of a lot more interesting. I agree with Comus. It would be also valid to say that GOM doesnt have any respect for the players/fans/ect when they decide to run an eventh with bo1.

That doesn't mean he did the right thing. Ok so everybody who would have done the same thing as him should be qualified as someone who "has personality and creates drama" ?
