GSL uses head to head rules not tiebreakers.

I was sitting wondering what i would do if i were his manager or anything to do with Quantic Gaming and i don't think he can get away with doing such a thing with any repercussions. Do you have an opinion or thoughts on how things such as this could be combated as a member of one of the most loved teams and players?

I understand, naniwa only cares about winning, he doesnt play to appease his fans, and there's nothing wrong with that. gom probably forced him to play the match even though there was no reason to. Being able to play this game professionally is not a privilege. If you piss everyone off doing stuff like this, it won't matter how good you are; people won't want to watch you, sponsors won't want to give you money, and events won't want you to waste airtime. Players realistically play for the viewers, not for themselves. True, though if you piss people off just right, you'll be the biggest and most infamous player. Usually a lot more money in that.

Sportsmanship 2. He had the opportunity to earn money, partially funded by people who pay to watch the games. 3. It's not just about him. If Nestea is going to take the time to play against him, the casters are taking the time to cast the game and GomTV is taking the time to broadcast the match, then he should play. That selfish mentality is the whole reason people label Naniwa as immature. There's nothing wrong with that kind of behavior on the ladder, but when you're a PROFESSIONAL player, there's a certain code of conduct people are expected to follow. 1. he forfeited - I guess that´s his right is it not? 2. nobody forced them to pay for it - they want to get something out of it as well and actually do with this little stunt. 3.obviously it is - because people are watching and give a damn about him making a show - even PAYING for it. really don´t understand how people get so upset about that brilliant, probably unintended, PR stunt.

Yeah, Idra went through group selections and then left Korea, forfeiting all of his Code S games and ruining his group. I think Nani's move is about the same. At least he could have done a mothership rush or something if he didn't want to play seriously.

Well-said, never have a gringed so much over a game. I was thoroughly expecting them to atleast try for the fans, I guess that tells a lot about Naniwa though.

I really hope he gets a serious warning or a penalty from GOM.

He played in the tournament, the tournament was over for him and his opponent. The result has no effect on who goes through or who goes out. MC arguably not trying so Stephano got knocked out is more significant than this situation. You just gave Nazgul the best counter argument. MC played his absolute butt off when he had nothing to gain.

Pff, broadcasting games that dont matter is stupid, they dont do it in Up and Downs, I was surprised they did it here, and probably only did it because the players it was.

That wouldn't happen in any of the four major sports in the US. people get fined and penalized all the time for doing stupid stuff in US sports. I don't get where you're coming from That wasn't your argument, clown. ok if a football team went out and just stood there and let another nfl team score 100 points, they would probably get fined or penalized in some fashion. however, it wont happen in a major sport because of the consequences. better?
