I've heard commentators for sports and random events talk about their sponsors all the time. "We'd like to thank <insert vehicle company> or McDonalds for helping give money to this basketball tournament or random football bowl/cup. I don't see how it's any different from Moletrap and Khaldor repping GOMTV.


What sports is this for? I primarily watch NFL games and some college football / bball. The only time I ever hear a caster say anything about sponsors is saying like "Welcome to the Visa Halftime Show". I don't even count that as it's what the show is actually called.


If you watched the Monday Night Football game last night you could clearly see the commentators were repping Skittles.

Ok so they name parts of their game after sponsors... SC2 could do it the same... "Welcome to the Coke game 2!" It just sounds lame
