That seems kinda unfair if he won't offer the same for all regions. no because kawaiirice has a team at his back which usually send thier players to international tournaments. korean teams usually cant send thier players because they dont have that much money so they have to be very selective about which foreign tournaments they gonna attend to. I dunno I'm against giving special treatment to people. And also, seems pretty weird that you assume the financial situation of some teams / players. Just because KawaiiRice is in Fnatic doesn't mean that it's any easier to send him to an event. In either case, if TaKe is paying for 2 koreans to attend, he should also offer to pay for the 2nd place finisher in the NA / EU qualifier. That would be the most fair... I'm not really bitter or angry, but I just don't personally agree with giving someone special treatment because they are more popular / better / not in a team that has money, or whatever reason. These things should be based on merit IMO, it's the most fair way. Either way the tournament will be amazing, I'm just stating my opinion. TaKe is a great dude and I'm sure there are reasons for why he does everything. But by that logic, you can also argue that KR, Attero, and Violet got in because they were playing from an easier server rather than any tournament based on merit. Actually, going by merit, the tournament should be mostly Korean.... Just so we're clear, I think it's great KR qualified and I understand where you're coming from, but I just don't agree with the argument you're making because I feel like it's flawed. That merit argument doesn't work. The fact that he separated qualifier by region means that he wanted NA , EU , and KR representatives. So... Violet, Attero, and KawaiiRice earned spots based on merit regionally. Just because Korea is better doesn't make qualifying from NA less valid, if there is a specific NA qualifier. Wait so why did the merit argument work when NASL offered to pay for Korean's trips to NASL finals? We DIDNT do that, which is why they didn't play in Season 2. We gave every player the same deal O_O
But you said you offered to pay part of it, Take said he would pay a little bit if it was in his budget so what's the difference? Besides the fact that the Koreans didn't pull out.

Seriously, Beasty had two units, two cloaked banshees, total and lost them both. So incredibly sloppy, he had that game won.

What he's getting at is that NASL offered all players, including the Europeans, the same deal iirc. They didn't give special treatment to the Koreans, which was sort of the issue they had.

The fact that Take decided to pay maybe additionally a second flight for Koreans doesnt bring any disadvantage to you. Would you prefer if Take would only pay for one korean? What would you gain from that? You would still have to pay the flight for KawaiiRice.
Dont be that envious and dont grudge that Korean his trip.

Lets face it for koreans 3 spots one paid flight would result in more money for korea than 2 spots 2 flights

The difference is EVERYONE got the same offer... How can you not understand that?
Here, 2 Koreans are getting their trips paid... but only 1 from the other regional qualifiers are getting paid. It's a very clear distinction.

Why do u2 get more money to join a festival then Alabama best banjo players , not fair!
Korean's are pretty good , and they add to the tournament level which attract more viewers which worth money . need a chart ?
but really this conversation better go in another thread , loved the qualifier take , can't wait for HSC4 , absolutely loved HSC3.

I'm not grudging or envious ... and I know that only 1st got the flight paid. I'm not even arguing that KawaiiRice should have his trip paid. I'm just saying that I don't agree with different policies for different regions. Everyone should get the same treatment. I.E. if 2 koreans are getting their flight paid, then the top 2 from the other regions should get paid too. Just looking for equality.
Anyway that's all I'll say about it.

Nah, NASL offered more of a stipend to the Korean players when they threatened to backout, so they did get special treatment. All I'm getting at is that you should just take the argument up with the management instead of blast shit all over forums trying to sway someone to get your way. If SC2 is going to continue to evolve as an Esport this shit has to stop, it's not professional and it's not fair to the tournament organizer, you knew only 1st place would get a trip, then your player should have won first.

take said sth like
"i have to check the budget first [...] maybe we can offer the 2nd place a free flight".
Koreans bring the skills, we pay their bills :D I mean, no1 forces any1 to come, it would just be a sweet "add" for 1 korean player. dno how ppl can go crazy about it, when revival doesnt get paid, it wouldnt help kawaii either??
€: MLG does almost everything for koreans, and till now almost NOTHING for europeans.

However, your average big tournament would have just been without the second Korean. Take is more awesome than that and goes along exceeding his budget to pay his trip. No other tournament would do that. See it as a bonus to the fans and community. It's no secret certain Korean teams are struggling financially and would never afford to send a player to this.
In the end, two Koreans are better than one. Take gets two where other tournaments would have gotten one, which means Take is awesome and life is unfair.

Man those games are boring and awesome at the same time, they have so much patience but wonder if that is because they lack the hability to play any cooler
