I really underestimated Jjakji after seeing him do a terrible all in on xelnaga to qualify for code A. It looked terrible, showcasing poor macro and micro.

But I guess he proved me wrong by winning code S.

O well....poor leenock...

wow jjakji! I didn't think the steamroller that is Leenock could be stopped!

I tip my hat to you, sir!

Awesome finals, although I have to say I'm supersad that Leenock didn't win.
Tastosis were on fire too, you could really feel their excitement.
The "GSL is all in" commercial gave me nerdchills.
And now I'm gonna add yugiohmaster69 on Twitter.^^

I'll be honest, I never imagined Jjajki would amount to GSL Code S champion after seeing his doom drop fiasco against MarineKing in Code A two seasons ago.

To think he would improve from that level to the level he played at tonight is just amazing. He played spectacularly tonight especially in game 1. Bravo man, I never expected it but I was cheering for you tonight the moment you planted that hidden Command Center.

Every game recommended???? Was this actually the best GSL finals yet despite the pessimism around these two players (mostly just JJakji) going into it? I didn't watch because... It's Code S finals, despite watching every finals before this. Now I'm definitely going to have to check it out.

I caught game 5 and 6. Nothing special there, except for a lot of pretty zergling micro from leenock. IMO SC2 is drying up as the expansion is still far away.

I feel bad for you that you missed the first 4 games.

Well, I've just watched the first game and didn't see anything special either. A baneling "X" misclick, undiscovered terran expo, vikings+ghosts vs BLs final battle. Same old, same old. I only watched several games this season, maybe because of Skyrim, maybe because the game stopped evolving at a somewhat unsatisfying point. Maybe I grew tired of SC2 because I've been on it since early beta...

You're just sad man, solve your issues, then see SC2 under a new light

I'm interested if he can win more after. He's still got a long way to go before catching up to MVP.

Can we call Jjakji a royal roader? From Code B into Code A straight into Code S, where he won it in the first season.

Congrats; I thought Leenock was the clear favorite, but Jjakji deserved that more than anybody. Seriously just goes to show you how anybody can win at SC2 with enough practice.

Great finals. Happy with Jjakji winning, being terran biased and all ;p. GSL is about who prepares his matches better, and it was Jjakji this time around.

Good end of the year with a new guy taking it before we get to see the big guns in the blizz cup one last time.

Hey may not win 3+ championships, but this is just so rude and ignorant after this great final. Did you even watch the games?
Jjakji was a respected and underrated player before. Fun fact: He is the only player who was one of the last three player picked in group selection in October and November.
