Same drill as usual:
  • No caster bashing.
  • Excessive tournament bashing that detracts from game discussion will be met with moderator action. Criticism is welcome, whining is not.
  • In general do your best to stay on topic and discuss what we're all here for: the games.
Enjoy the games guys.

Yeah 2010, was finals where Jinro beat TT1.

And that reason is...their 20% winrate vZ on it ? :D (I know 20% is an exaggeration)

http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-korean/maps/445_Dual_Sight

32.6% it seems

March version is a lot lot lot different than current one, its like comparing cross metal to close (ground) metal.

http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-korean/maps/499_Dual_Sight_1.1

not a big enough sample size to say anything

Those are only the korean games and doesn't include the games played not in KSC2 tournies.

International and Korean combined

http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/details.php?section=sc2-international&type=maps&id=445&part=games&matchup=ZvP&league=any&from_year=2011&from_month=3&from_day=21&to_year=2011&to_month=12&to_day=2&action=Update

ZvP record: 76-55 (58%)

Note: a lot of the international games are from things like weekly cups and other open tournies where players like naniwa beat players such as blackcidy.

So one can say it is probably skewed towards protoss favour in the above stats since when you look at the recognizable names games, its far more often that Z wins over P.

the map is bad for protoss and highly Zerg favoured in that matchup. 58% is quite bad as far as map balance goes tbh.

Comparing balance not at the very top level is pointless. I bolded the part that makes the 76-55 record irrelevant.

Yeah thats my point with the whole bolded part. Even when it isn't at the highest level the results show Zerg beating protoss a lot more than the other way around. If Korean TLPD isnt enough on its own then international and Korean TLPD both considered show a huge Zerg winrate vs P.

Im not claiming imbalance of the races, I am saying the map is heavily Zerg favoured and if you choose it as toss you are banking on having either an amazing strategy or playing against someone much much worse than you. In this case, TT1 shouldn't have gambled with that map choice against Sen when was down 2-1 in the series.

It almost felt like TT1 didn't 2 base all in purely because of that thread and he was trying to prove a point, which made me smile every time his 3rd got denied, obviously needs more practice taking it.

No but seriously I don't see why people are bashing him he played pretty well considering who he was playing, I think he was rattled by the last game anyway.

He wasn't exactly 'bahsing' TT1, more or less laughing at the statement that TT1 should be considered one of the 2 best protoss at this tournament. Which is a very valid statement. No offense to TT1 but even he says he's considered an underdog.
Bottom line to say TT1 is top 2 Protoss in a tournament with HerO HuK Hasuobs MaNa and Hwangsin is just out right silly. IMO its pretty cleared the top 2 by far are HuK and HerO followed by Hasu then really a toss up(Pun definitely intended) between the rest.

MaNa is better than Hasu, MaNa is the best Protoss in europe by far. By far. Look at your right(TLPD).

(NaNi and SaSe are in Korea, just reminding.)

TLPD.alright.thats all what counts

Yes TLPD is not a good way to attest a players regularity right, I mean, Nerchio, MaNa, Stephano, NaNiwa and Sen.

its a tendence.but not the best option to look whos the best for sure
i mean bling over ret and sase?nestea on 85?
darkforce over hasuobs?
etc.

Are you delusional, ignorant, or just trolling? I don't even dislike TT1, but you either are oblivious to what Mana has done this year compared to TT1. He's far more accomplished and easily a much higher ranked foreigner toss.
http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/players/1214_MaNa

look buddy you dont have to resort to name calling when you have a difference of opinion its fine if you are a fan of mana over tt1 but to put go4sc2 weekend cups amongs tourneys like MLG is just ridiculous. there are plenty of players who win a lot of the EU weekend cups (stephanio comes to mind) that never were able to perform when it counted at MLG.

All this downtime is pretty sad. With so many casters there, couldn't they throw a caster couch or something similar together?

Well, that was a pretty new thing at dreamhack.
And casters have to eat and relax a bit apparently, caster coach for a whole tournament is probably a bit too much.
Would be cool for the grandfinal though

Guys, when will you realize that juanald is a troll?
Look he calls axslav axslave multiple times http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/search.php?q=axslave&t=c&f=-1&u=Juanald&gb=date&d=
He mentions machine every other post http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/search.php?q=machine&t=c&f=-1&u=Juanald&gb=date&d=

Just look at this posts, they are so silly.
suprised the votes are favoring violet .. EG.Axslave lives with 3 of the best zergs in the foriegn scene if not the world... Idra Machine and Strifecrow i have a feeling this wont even be close..

Kelly milkis hahaha
wow thanks KellyMilkis u really do alot for the community any chance u could translate netizens reaction to huk to EG news.

its really sad there are so many haters out there they let there jealousy blind them.. its probably the same people who were writing off players like machine huk tt1 before there rise to fame ..

The only way he could not be a troll is if he is like machine's 10 year old brother, but just look at what he posts. I just combed through his posts and most of them are talking about the top 5 X or why people shouldn't bash people people he likes.

But that still old dual site, according to tlpd the only foreign tournament that has used the newest version is dreamhack winter.

I don't get it.. just give one of the 9(!) casters that are there a mic, put a camera on him and let him talk or interview someone... everything is better than staring at a waiting screen?
