Same drill as usual:
  • No caster bashing.
  • Excessive tournament bashing that detracts from game discussion will be met with moderator action. Criticism is welcome, whining is not.
  • In general do your best to stay on topic and discuss what we're all here for: the games.
Enjoy the games guys.

wow the 2 best protoss eliminated already this is turning out to be the tourney of upsets

lol 2 best protoss. not even close.. TT1 with very questionable decision making and sen crushed him for his bad decisions

please leave the player bashing out of here huk and tt1 have been considered to be in the top 3 - top 5 of the foreign community since retail (old schooL).. dont let your hatred blind you. sen outplayed him this game and thats why it was an upset

This....doesn't even make sense. Yes TT1 is good, but huk, hero and mana are all better than him. And sen was clearly the favorite, therefore it wasn't an upset.

how soon people forget MLG dallas where tt1 took 2nd. im not sure who mana is but i doubt he has even made it to pool play in MLG... please dont disrespect player just becaues you dislike them artosis just did a long rant on the SOTG about this

TT1 wasn't at dallas as far as i know.

he was there and he barely lost to Liquid`Jiinro in the finals.

Are you delusional, ignorant, or just trolling? I don't even dislike TT1, but you either are oblivious to what Mana has done this year compared to TT1. He's far more accomplished and easily a much higher ranked foreigner toss.
http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/players/1214_MaNa

look buddy you dont have to resort to name calling when you have a difference of opinion its fine if you are a fan of mana over tt1 but to put go4sc2 weekend cups amongs tourneys like MLG is just ridiculous. there are plenty of players who win a lot of the EU weekend cups (stephanio comes to mind) that never were able to perform when it counted at MLG.

TT1 hasn't done anything recently.... that tournament was in 2010... tt1 hasn't even made it to pool play when it even counted (koreans arrived, game started being figured out)

this year what has tt1 done?

mana has taken 2nd in the ESWC finals versus stephano and placed 3rd at IEM cologne (which puma won, followed by MC)

so yes mana is better than TT1

Cmon, obvious troll is obvious.

I agree i think tournys need a competition committee to be put in place and be more thought out and prioritized. The map imbalances are a huge problem and I understand the lack of alternatives but the tourny is still trying to crown the best possible player on the same playing feild with equal advantages for both sides, otherswise its obvious the slightest advantage; the player with the slight advantage will always win

What does count then? ladder ranking ?

ionno. we need a better ranking system. if you look at TLPD, Nestea is about rank 85 in the world. >_>

That's because he never plays foreign tournaments, to be fair.[/QUOTE]

true. he's always consistently in the top 5 for the korean TLPD. but i think there should be a way to combine them now, since so many koreans play in international tourneys now anyway, and with the influx of foreigners in the GSL

(because there's players that play in both GSL and foreign tourneys, we have a common benchmark.)
