We gave, and are still giving credit. You just push your opinion too hard like a 9 year old kid trying to convince everybody chocolate chip is the best flavor for a cookie and oatmeal could never 'ever' come close.

It was a wonderful back and forth semifinal with the closest possible score of 3:2. Yeah, MVP got outplayed seriously -.- . Even the way it is used now, its kinda demeaning to older players because it kind of implies they didn't have as strong of competition back in the times of boxer, oov, nada, or savior
koreans jokingly called july bonjwa, they sseriously called Savior bonjwa.
Ma Bonjwa.

Another champion who is not NesTea or MVP, hooray! \o/

That was a pretty bonjwa series between bonjwa MVP and bonjwa Leenock. A win like that could elevate Leenock to super bonjwa status, gotta love his bonjwa momentum going into this finals. All in all, today was a pretty bonjwa day of SC2. I can't help but feel the finals will not be as bonjwa... but maybe we'll get lucky and finally get a Code S bonjwa level finals for once that will go 7 bonjwa games.

Savior is the first one to be considered Bonjwa dude...July never even had a period of total domination to be considered a bonjwa -_-

I think Leenock's control is AT LEAST as good as DRG's. Just watch how he defended against ~15 BF-hellions with 2 queens and like 10 lings on crossfire, that was insane.

I've always related sc2 more to tennis than boxing/mma since those incorporate set fights with the rank on the line, whereas tennis incorporates a flexible points and ranking system into the multitude of tournaments provided to the players to compete in.
In this case, MVP is still raking in the ranking points. Hypothetically Leenock would be making an enormous rush into the top 10, probably nabbing a top 5 spot off the back of (potentially) two 'grand slam-ish' events. But his rank before the last few weeks was only middle ground.
That's how I rank sc2 in my mind. Sort of combination of recent results and consistency for a certain time.

See this is exactly my point.
July was the first one to be called a bonjwa.
Savior was the first one to be considered a bonjwa.
And then people retroactively applied bonjwa status to past players.
Do you see how stupid that is?
Edit - And you know what, because the term bonjwa is so stupid, I'm just going to follow SC2 trends. Leenock for the new bonjwa. MVP no longer bonjwa.

This, and the Huk allin defense on xelnaga cavern, showed Leenock has some fucking insane control. He's like a terran player who play zerg, he can micro (which is a rare feat for a zerg player xD)

About the Leenock #1 player in the world debate. I think it's kinda fair to give him #1 in terms of "Power Ranking" now. But as we all know, with the state SC2 is in right now, people just come and go. So he could very well slide down eventually.
He is currently the best player at the moment (for the past 2 weeks at least) and is a HUGE favorite in the finals this Saturday.
EDIT: Having said that if Leenock were to play Mvp again, I'll still root for Mvp. You just don't root against MVP man.

Hope Leenock can train with MKP or sC because as good as his overall play is, his early game defense usually is not on par with the rest of his play. I really hope by early game you mean just bunker rushes? Because I have never, I mean never seen Leenock outright die to hellion harrass which is the most common. Or any other early game timing. I mean fuck that he even shut down mvps proxies. Infact I remember the slayers guys coming out with the marine hellion drop timing that got crushed so hard they stopped doing it. They did it to other players really well and even transitioned to that mass BFH mm style that he destroyed so royally the first time it was used in the GSL iirc, it went out of style faster than the latest smartphone. Yeah bunker rushes. The thing is he some times dies (by die %I mean just lose the hatch, even if the game is not over) to simple one rax pressure. A hard 11/11 with 2-4 scv pulled could hurt him a lot, and I'm sure bonjwakji will do some of those. I agree about 11/11 for example, but regular bunker rush defense is something i'd consider a strength from Leenock of late. Unless you can point me to examples of him losing to them.... MKP series maybe? 'cause i can't think of anything. His TvZ record since June is like over 75% or something ridiculous.

It's his perfect defense. Hellion harass often does major damage to other zergs, while Leenock doesn't let them in at all. He uses his structures in the most efficient way to defend with as little as possible, and then explodes once he breaks out.
I'm actually quite surprised Mvp opened with hellions so many times in this series, when Leenock has been shutting it down for months now.
