is anyone else not able to seek through the VODs on twitch? I can't really watch them because they uploaded it as an 8-hour video split into 5 parts and the first parts of each video are basically filler garbage

I'd love to watch the finals though

Just amazing energy and production value.

I'd say MLG was better done in man ways. I liked the couch casters for the finals though. Was like the panel between periods in hockey

Yeah, I've found vods for G5 - G7 on youtube but I'd really like to watch G1 - G4.

I just have to mention that the stream really couldn't give the cheering a fair chance since the arena basically exploded and just keep on chanting Hero! Hero! Hero! sure was one of the best feeling I've had when it comes to e-sport!

THE FUCK!

I couldn't see them, but even though I know who won and how I will watch the VOD :D, that's why I think SPOILERS don't really matter, I'll watch the VODs to see the games, the production value, support Dreamhack and cuz I need a rest of studying hehe.

btw I can't watch the VODs yet , idk if twitchtv is taking long to update the stream site or whatnot, but I'll keep trying tomorror and the day after

Man, just watched the VODs, had the sickest goosebumps watching Hero being so humble after his win.

I really hope MLG and IPL pick up on the GSL and DreamHack formatting by implementing single elimination with group play rounds rather than double elimination Champ brackets with best-of-5 semi's and best-of-7 finals.

This would get rid of the utterly ridiculous extended series rule. Please standardize tournament formatting for the sake of convenience!

(Z)Ret won Assembly, which was pretty huge.

i think ret's victory at the blizzard eu invitational was bigger than assembly

For me personally the highlight of this event without a doubt was witnessing 50000 people watch the Quake final. Obviously they were there to see SC2 but I don't care, alot of people seemed to enjoy it. My only regret is that the games themselves were a bit boring and onesided, this one event could've been enough to revive Quake if the final had been one of the good and exciting finals that QL so often produces.

The SC2 final was very nice aswell though. I love both games so this event as a whole was extremely enjoyable for me. It was a shame that the CS1.6 final coincided with QL/SC2 though, I would've wanted to watch that aswell. The viewer numbers looked quite pathetic for CS (most people probably didn't even know it was going on) when they could've probably been up in the 20k's if it had been done properly. That being said, the viewer numbers were most likely alot more than the 3k on the "DreamhackTV" stream, as alot of people choose to watch on HLTV and SVT had their separate stream. I believe the eastern european streams totaled up to quite a bit of viewers aswell.

Also later in the fight you can see hero kind of shuffling his colossus deck to keep the red ones alive long enough. One extra volley and he'd probably have lost one of the two hero colossi that were pretty critical in turning that fight over.
