Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

Anti-fans who just wanted to see Naniwa lose but doesn't really give a shit about Leenock winning.
Everyone STRAIGHT to the exit.
Season grand final? WHO GIVES A FUCK.
Nani says "joke tournament" without meaning it in the literal sense - huge backlash. Crowd just gets up and leaves without showing MLG the decency of staying for their SEASON FINALE price ceremony.
I've seen enough. Disgusting.
Yea the crowd looked so bored in those shots after players won

Great tournament. But somehow the top 3 games left me disappointed. Every MLG i watch to the end ends like this and when i skip it the games are supposedly good ones. Should have just gone to bed. Gn all.

As a Zerg, I loved that Leenock won but so sad for Naniwa... especially with all the boo and flak he's received over the weekend.

Just shows how much they know about the game. :/
I don't know how some of them can call themselves fans of the game.

Such an anti-climactic end of an otherwise great tournament. Boring cheese is boring.

It does not take powerful analytic ability to see that Leenock did what he did because he easily was able to calculate Naniwa's play based off play against other Z's. He didn't blindly 7 pool like a silver leaguer. Honestly, use your brain. He's capable of macroing with the best, duh

Amazing...

Leenock sure looks like best zerg in the world right now. Nestea is in a slump. DRG is always rusty. Losira not so strong anymore. Leenock's strategy and subtle micro play looks like Nestea several months ago.

Totally deserved win by Leenock. This kid killed 'em all this weekend.

This man went through the best players in the world, will definitely pay more attention to him in GSL.

I love people going "naniwa is playing greedy so he got punished", or "he ffe so he dies, normal". Because you people find normal to not being able to fast expanding against zerg ? If you don't FFE you're basicly behind. Naniwa deserved this win so hard omg, MVP should have crushed Leenock in loser's bracket. Was pissed about "lol i got 5 roaches and 5 mutas during whole game and still won".
Rly boring final, it was like Puma/MC during IEM. MC > Puma so Puma cheesed 2 times on 3 games to get the money. Naniwa > Leenock, so Leenock cheesed to get the money. So sad...

Well, Leenock wins MLG Providence 2011 after an epic run, congrats to him.
As a spectator, I personally hated every single game Leenock played against NaNiWa. I understand "It's a tournament, he does what it takes to win" but watching a Roach Rushx3 +7pool series is NOT entertaining to me. I'm not a Leenock fan in the first place, and while I'm not a NaNiWa fan either, it sucks to see someone go down like this.
I personally feel really bad for NaNiWa. He gets told by NesTea pre-game that he's going to crush him, after he already beat NesTea once, proceeds to pause for a confirmation on the map, and gets hated on. Wins the series, finally comes out of his shell a little on-stage, and gets vilified for it.
I think this quote from Slasher says a lot:
@Slasher Rod Breslau Just spoke to Naniwa, he's sad the crowd boo'ed him, will bottle up his emotions till he wins the championship. Leenock wants a shot. #MLG
NaNiWa has had people rooting against him from Day 1 of this event, and it just kept compounding. You could see on stage after he became the villain of the weekend, he kept his words and emotion to a minimum, and to hear the crowd being against you every game can really hurt your mentality.
Congratulations to Leenock for winning MLG Providence 2011, he came from the Open Bracket and did the seemingly impossible. I'm personally hugely disappointed in the MLG Providence audience as a whole, and the ESPORTS community for their NaNiWa hate this weekend. Leenock outplayed NaNiWa in the finals, that's a given, but the play was not inspiring or exciting for anyone who isn't a Leenock fan. NaNiWa accomplished something no foreigner has ever done, or was expected to do this weekend, and got nothing but vilified for it. Good luck in the Blizzard Cup to both players, best of luck to NaNiWa in Code S next season.
aLive better crush Leenock this season. + Show Spoiler +

Why did the crown leave like that? Ugh, gg.

awesome matches, good thing i stayed awake to watch these epic battles/mindgames/emotions. and not to forget: first time TL.net is down for me. sad elephant ='(

But can you honestly blame us who don't fanatically like Leenock for thinking it made the finals awfully boring? I think Leenock played well and cleverly, but it was an awfully boring final to watch (even if they do not play to entertain me.)
