Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

If it fails, especially on this map where you can't take a quick third, the Protoss is significantly further ahead and will take the win minutes later unless something insane happens.

Stop being so damn ignorant about the game! Winning a game doesn't mean it was enjoyable to watch for people. Yes but winning the way Leenock is winning doesn't mean he is a terrible player; in fact what he is doing proves that he is an intelligent player that has really thought about his strategies I get that the games aren't entertaining, but appreciate the strategy and mind games behind it
Not that i need to say it, but what its going on its not strategy and mind games, its just "oh god I can't beat him at long game" which transitioned intro "let's try a cheese" which then transitioned into "omg the cheese won, lets keep cheesing", be it that he wins, whatever, do it, that doesn't mean that there is any mind games or strategy behind it, cheese exist because its effective against anything that doesn't prepare for it, and if you prepare and your opponent does not cheese then you are behind and practically forced to all in yourself.

Okay, I think that Naniwa deserved this loss; having no strategic depth whatsoever is very bad because it opens you to easy counters like these. There is no "perfect" build in SC 2 - every build has its strengths and weaknesses, and a truly great player will have many different builds in his arsenal for different situations.
I guess foreigners are still behind, in that respect.

joking aside, dont discredit leenock, hes played amazingly today.

geez leenock is relentless. Amazing Z in the making
|
I thought Naniwa was extremely solid, but actually, that was because he had only one opening in his book, refined to the max, but with a single huge big flaw.
|
actually i take that back..he punishes the FFE then goes back to having a advantage with a macro game..i like it.
|
What is Nani doing? Trying to 4gate this late
|
|
Meh, worst final ever. Naniwa playing the same build every time. Leenock (cleverly) cheesing every time.
It's sad for both players. Leenock just looks mediocre (but at least smart), and Naniwa stupid (but at least he looks skilled).

Haha, good one! Wp sir :D

Mods can basically ban everybody who posted on the last 100 pages. Stop complaining about Leenock trying to win games. (50k$ y know...).
For myself these finals are exciting as hell

Lucky and Leenock do almost nothing but all ins. I just do not see why so many people are cheering for him. Because he is 16? he beat mvp in a macro game, should be enoghh This is the cheesiest I've ever seen Leenock play. Please watch other Leenock games before assuming roach rush when you only see 1 series. He played standard versus DRG and in all his Code S games this season. Also he beat Nada with a 6pool. Yup he's playing the PLAYER! He has a good handle on Nani. Nani HAS to switch it up or else this is ALLLLL OVER! Naniwa is like the Protoss Idra where he's super predictable. Leenock is just punishing that fact and it's clearly paying off. YUP, about to be all she WROTE! BOOM! Ok geniuses. What opening is better? 1-3gate expo? We saw how that got crushed for Huk. Problem is the mappool. The map pool was originally designed to advance zergs. After the tweak the open nats weren't also taken into account. blargh. GSLesque final.
You cannot be a one trick pony on every map sir. Not to say that Nani is, but his openings in this series, let alone his zvp over the weekend has opened with FFE more times than not.
First game he held Lee off fine. You have to make small adjustments on the fly.

I'm confused, with extended series, why didn't nani start up 2 games? Isn't that how double elim is supposed to work?

If they couldn't see that nani was crushing zergs because their BOs sucked then that's their mistake, there was nothing wrong with what nani did, just as there's nothing wrong with what leenock's doing.

What a shame that the crowd are cheering for the player they want to win...

Leenock showing retards what has been obvious for 6 months which is that FFE openings in SC2 are not safe and ceding the expansion to the Protoss isn't necessarily smart.

Well played by Leenock. Hate it when the Koreans win
