Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:

- NO Balance Whine.
- NO Player Bashing.
- NO Caster Bashing.
- NO BM whatsoever.

Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

Hahaha true

Except he smashed 2, 3-time blizzcon winners this weekend, DRG, and Huk as well. He deserves his spot.

The awesome thing about this is that who wins this grand final isn't even that important. They're both huge winners already. Naniwa has Code S guaranteed and Leenock is already the first player in the "Korean MLG" era to make the grand final from the open bracket.

Thats wrong. If Nani loses, second match will be an extended series.

It's one best of three. -.-

omg, please stop this. He have beaten MVP in a bo3, and Neaste in 2 bo3. Also he has beaten DRG amongst others. You dont think he deserves that spot?

What, stop pointing out that Naniwa has had three free spots in the GSL and blown it three times running?

It's something everyone should keep in mind when they think that Naniwa is 'the best player in the world' or even the best Protoss. He's on fire this weekend, unquestionably, but will he be for an entire month? I think there's a definite argument that the MLG format suits Naniwa better than the GSL does.
I'm not bad at Starcraft; I just think winning's rude.

i don't like this system. the only advantage coming from the winners bracket is that you're allowed to play on from behind after losing a bo3? the standard is 2 bo3s and the one coming from winners bracket only has to win one of them, which i like more tbh.

Leenock has finally given me a zerg to root for. I've always liked NesTea, but he doesn't excite me that much. Now that my normally favourite Zerg is going to retire (July ), there's this shining star who's finally living up to his potential. GO LEENOCK! TAKE THIS SHIT HOME!

Since when is July Retiring ?

July has already said next season will be his last before he does his military service.... Leenock will take up the mantle, THE PRINCE OF WAR

July in military service.. he's going to return as a new man, literally. Imagine July super fit and even more aggressive, he's going to destroy everyone.

Wonder what WCG and Dreamhack Winter will yield for the final spots in the blizzard cup... there's also one more gsl spot up for grabs based on points.

Stretching it a bit?

I am talking about raw talent ... I dont see anyone else with the raw talent

he could never pan out but the talent is there

How do you see Talent? Is that some green shroud around leenock? how can someone see such a stupid thing? Its just your emotion getting in your way of logic. You cant see talent. Just how good someine is atm.

Im guessing you dont watch sports

You see talent in someone who has overwhelming ability that is superior even to people who are the leaders at their position, but who are severely lacking in another area of their game, below average, which can be attributed to inexperience or lack of training. The idea, then, is that this person has not reached their ceiling of skill, and hence have talent even if they aren't necessarily winning.

For example, SlayerSMMA showed amazing decision-making in GSL Team League in the first few months of its existence, taking out Nesta/MVP/MC in excellent games, but showing that he suffered from nerves in individual GSL games by losing due to errors that he didn't make when at his prime.

Given his lack of big game experience but that he performed extremely well, it was clear that he had talent. A few months later he's a GSL champion and generally considered one of the top Terrans in the world.

Leenock has showed amazing games for a long time now, but has fallen apart to nerves. Given his young age and relative inexperience at LANs, it has been clear to many since GSL Open 2/3 that he has amazing talent. Today we're seeing it in action, just as we did with MMA.
