Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly: - NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever. Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment.

The favored person, can lose 2 Bo3s with scores 2-1, 2-1. However, in a Bo7 from 2-0, the favored person wins when he gets 2 games, before his opponent can get 4. But as we see above, the favored person can still lose in 2 Bo3s even if that person wins 2 games. Thus, Leenock has a better chance against Naniwa then DRG, mathwise.

The losers bracket player is on their second chance. Your argument doesn't make sense.

If Nani vs DRG again, DRG need to win 4 games while Nani need to win only 2 If Nani vs Leenock, Nani needs to win one bo3 ( 2 games , possibly 3) while DRG need to wins 4 games ( 2 bo3) Not much difference but that is the Winner Bracket advantage because Nani still has 2 lives so to speak while Leenock is on his last life ( he has lost before) A LOT of people think the finals work like a normal double elimination Bo3 but it doesn't. IF Leenock wins the first Bo3 against Naniwa. Guess what happens? It becomes extended series immediately with Naniwa down 0-2. So the correct answer is Naniwa needs to win 2 or 4 games.

He has shown great builds against zergs the entire tournament so he's probably the favorite? I think (don't interpret this as me downplaying him) that his zerg opponents have made retarded game plans all the games. Particularly DRG, but NesTea had his fair share of horrible plans as well. Naniwa's just been responding to what he's seen, which is good, but I don't know, Leenock's decision making is looking absolutely incredible, and considering nani lost to Check and Lucky (a lot worse than Leenock), I don't know if nani is the favorite to win. His ZvP has been kinda shaky but as of late it's becoming obscene.

I agree with you, but given the rest of SC2 matches, BW counterparts are always better
