Here we go again. This weekend is about good games and good fun. Don't rain on that parade. Play nice guys. Here's the very standard and friendly:
- NO Balance Whine. - NO Player Bashing. - NO Caster Bashing. - NO BM whatsoever.
Breaking these rules (from pg 166 forward) will be met with severe punishment. |

You know who's never awkward? The emperor! The man is a politician as much as he is a gamer!

It's also futile as the very topic is fickle.

Thank God that game wasn't 8 mins then, but longer

MLG uses a proper implementation of double elimination, that's how it works. What? MLG has never worked like that. They just put Nani up 2 games in a BO7. They've always worked like that, if a player has not encountered another player, the Winner's Bracket finalist has to win 1 Bo3 while the Loser's Bracket finalist has to win 2 Bo3s, that's how double elimination works. That's what happened with MMA vs MVP.
Waht i want to know is if they have met does the player coming from the lower bracket have to win a Bo7 down the previous score and then another Bo3(bo11?)

naniwa's accomplishment imo isnt that ultra overwhelming considering nestea had to face naniwa after going through the open bracket and having no stamina
naniwa is facing guys that are already so gamed out when they get up to face him but naniwa only played 4 games before DRG heh
i suspect once zergs learn to deal a bit better with this heavy strong forcefield style naniwa wont make it far in code S facing fresh players. i know after 30 games i get really dull and cant play at my top level
He beat MVP and Nestea friday back to back in the global invitational. He isn't winning because his opponents are tired he is winning because he has been training his ass off the last few months and is on fire this weekend.

or heck even if you just have to play 6 games of high intensity in a row it really takes a toll on my level of play
I suspect you need to learn how to math son.

That's what he said.

I think it's possible that the two best Protoss players in the world are actually foreigners in Huk and Naniwa. Amazing to see the foreign scene catching up...although they both live and practice in Korea. Seems like Stephano is the only non-Korean trained player that can actually compete with top-level Koreans.

I would LOVE to see you go up there and force a 40 minute game on 5-6 bases. Against DRG. At MLG. For $50,000.
Would you risk that amount of money, just to prove that you can go up to 5 bases and play a long game?

He scouted the colossi tech and needed way more spines and roaches to hold the empending attack. wp nani I don't also understand why he didn't go more out of his way to prevent nani scouting that gold. Dunno im neither P nor Z, but it seemed to me, making 4 or so more zlings should've been enough to surround the zlots he spotted the gold with. I mean preventing the scouting of the gold for as long as possible is sooo huge and to increase the time... I don't know, seems worth it to me, but :/

I'm pretty sure a few came, Puzzle and Oz come to mind, they just all lost. Foreigners seem to have the best Protoss, Korea the best Terrans, while zerg is split.

That's calling it a little too early. One tournament does not dictate global skill. It will depend on Naniwa, whether or not he'll be able to continue his killing spree!

Also amazing play by Nani, he did the right thing when DRG took the gold, and only trolls would say otherwise. Reminds me of a game...MC versus someone...Julyzerg maybe? On the same map, same scenario, MC did the same thing and won, and people recognized at the time that taking the gold July couldnt defend was greedy. Maybe people expect more of DRG xD
