Feels like all this bitching people have been doing has overshadowed his amazing feats of beating nestea in two bo3s and also beating mvp. Agreeeeeeeeeeed. Especially the "BM" part. I mean get over it... Thumbs down is okey imo, but not after such a game. You watch replay, you force a pause for no real reason, your coach comes into your booth during the game, and then you bm your opponent? That's just really looks stupid for me. Pause looks totally valid to me, regardless if an admin told him or not, he believed it had to be cross position, it wasn't, he goes shit wrong map. Anyone wants to explain what difference makes spawn positions in that stage of the game? Imagine if he knew it's not only cross spawns, then he will still have 50% chance of finding his opponent, so it does not really matter. The only difference if that he would go scout in horizontal positions at first, and so he will safe few seconds, but is that really worth pausing? It's just again bm imo. Well that just shows youre lacking understanding of the game. If Naniwa was rushed he would have met the lings 100% in a cross only spawn. By not being garanteed to find him on first scout he would have to account for that in his strategy. Also, the rush distance is shorter for a sideway rush than a crossposition rush so you have to take that into consideratioin when you decide on you strategy as well. I am not talking about the difference when the map was cross spawns only, because it is not. I am talking about the difference between if naniwa knows that it is cross spawns or not. Yes and the whole point is that this is a game of information. If naniwa doesnt meet the lings in a cross only spawn he knows theyre not comming. In the exact same situation with several spawn positions possible he does not know if hes being rushed or not so he has to account for it. On top of that, since the shorter rush distance is possible he might have opted for a different strategy all together to start with.It might not seem that big but it changes the meta game on the top level by quiet a lot. In other words, its possible he would want to chose different strategies if he knows its cross spawn or not.

Nani fighting, hope he takes the whole tournament I'll quote something TT1 said about 100 pages ago: On November 20 2011 11:50 TT1 wrote: yo dudes theres a huge difference between mc thumbing idra down and naniwa thumbing nestea down, same thing happened when i flipped out over idra not gging vs boxer(in s1 of nasl).. i could give a shit if idra doesnt gg vs 99% of the players but theres some players that u just cant disrespect Imagine if Naniwa thumbed down Boxer.....there will be anarchy. I dont know if it was a joke but What TT1 wrote is probably the most stupid thing i have ever heard. All people are equals m8. I would love to agree that all people are equal, but reality doesn't work that way. If you can treat everybody that you meet in life as equals then I shall salute you. All things considered, what TT1 said is a realistic reflection of the general opinion of the TL community to certain scenarios.

Oh, PLEASE don't start that again. There are pages and pages on the subject, and bringing it up again will just mean a repeat.

I actually read the last 200 pages lol so much drama! I think a protoss or DRG will take this. Terran look so weak (finally xD)!

The drama NaNiwa brings to every tournament is amazing, he´s the badboy from Europe who does'nt seem to give a shit what other people thinks about him.

I'm loving it. Maybe you just don`t know the whole history of Naniwa. Loving such a stupid thing proves how dumb you might be, because he does care about people`s opinion, otherwise he wouldn`t apologize everyone for his badmanner during Warcraft 3. Now It seems he forgot to be nice. It`s his personality and in the future I`m pretty sure He will apologize again like he did in WC3.

CoLNaniwa johan lucchesi I must have formulated myself badly in the interviews I did not mean to call nestea bad. Or. An idiot watch next col iview.
CoLNaniwa johan lucchesi He said he would smash me before the game so that's why I wanted to do something funny. Also sry @MLG I felt very pressured .
@eneKeyHunt @compLexityLive no pressure people twist what I say to what they want tho. I mean no disrespect to nestea
Naniwa trying to clear this up at his twitter. Stop being such assholes to him just because he beat Nestea T_T
This is a different incident.... This was posted 7h ago. I really doubt this isn't in regards to the games lol

The cannon rush had almost no effect on that game, what made Naniwa win was that drop play that killed the lair while Nestea's army was doing nothing in the middle of the map and the mistake by Nestea for trying a base trade instead of defending. Nestea was at a point 30-40 supplies ahead and 1 base ahead, what made him lose was good tactics by Naniwa and poor decision making by him. Also crowd was cheering for Nani and not booing, so stop with the stupid zerg favoritism already, every time a zerg loses it either cheating or Terran/Protoss are OP. Terran is not looking weak at all, it's just that the only very good terrans in the championship winner bracket were MMA and MVP and they were both taken out by DRG and MC respectively which is quite frankly not an upset cause I consider these four at the same level. Who knows what would the winner bracket look like if the likes of sC, GanZi, MarineKing would have been seeded in the top16. Almost forget about Bomber but well he got taken by MVP which is no shame.

Going into this thread expecting lots of Naniwa praise for beating Nestea, twice, find drama.
Wtf guys? What's wrong with you? Naniwa beat Nestea twice, fair and square. Both played incredibly fun games to watch and I'm happy for Naniwa and sad for Nestea, both very good players.

You only needed to look up the page to see that.
Bringing it up again is just reopening the fucking barrel of worms.

People really do their best to create drama around the games.
The only thing I think Naniwa did wrong which could affect the game was to watch the replay of the disrupted game. But since players were allowed to watch replays and the rules probably didn't state that they weren't allowed to watched replays from disrupted games this alone shouldn't earn him any warnings or disqualification.
He also wrote some BM in the chat about MLG. This should give him a warning, but nothing more.
Naniwa won the games fair. In the last game Nestea reaction to the canon rush was really bad, he just pulled one of his drones to try to take down the canon. Nestea messed up and lost the game.
The thumbs down Naniwa did afterwards is not anything that should raise anyones eyebrows. It was a rumored that both players had said things about each other in interviews and that this was a grudge match. If Naniwa would have heard the same rumor the casters had, that Nestea had said he would crush him, then I don't think the thumbs down was irrational at all.

Is there a way to watch last nights matches without being MLG premium member?

I'm sorry, but a guy that pouts his way into getting a bathroom break, than watching replays of his opponents opening, than complaining how his opponent didn't spawn where he expected him too when they restart ... how is that a legitimate win?
Frankly, if IdrA did the same thing, people would be burning him at the stake.
Naniwa is certainly a good player, but I think a lot of people have a legitimate beef with his conduct during that last game.
Imagine if it was the last 24 seconds of a basketball game; play starts, and after six seconds pass the team with the ball insisted on restarting the shot clock because one of their players wants to pee really, really bad. And then complains that the opposing team isn't running the exact same defense when they start playing again.
Ridiculous.
I'll shut up about it now, I'll just wait until people closer to the situation chime in on SOTG or Live on Three etc.
