You must be kidding me. I play competitive soccer at university and if someone is raging or simply walking out frustrated at everyone, not saying GG, that guy would be considered an asshole and wouldn't be playing in future. Sports is all about sportsmanship and bringing out the best of your character.
Everyone have different opinion on "No GG = BM" and you are entitled to yours but don't overgeneralize, makes you sound like an asshole.

I'm not exactly an EG fan, but Huk/Puma/Idra/Demuslim/Machine would have a pretty decent chance unless SlayerS sends out their absolute top lineup.
But SlayerS is still the HEAVY favorite.
They're definitely the better team and they have much more depth, but I think quite a few factors would be in EG's favour right now. The winner's league format definitely suits them as their top 3 players (or top 4 if you include Demuslim) are leagues better than the rest of their lineup. Idra's ZvT strength and ZvP weakness would work in their favour as Slayers is extremely Terran-heavy and their only top Protoss right now is Puzzle. None of the Slayers terrans are really known for their TvP and Huk has decent chances vs almost all of them. Coca's one of the players that I would consider a heavy favourite vs EG's entire lineup, but he won't be used in the near future.
That said, of course a lineup like MMA, Taeja, Ganzi, Ryung and Puzzle would be pretty heavily favoured over the 3 EG players that have decent chances of taking games off them, but if Slayers fielded some of their b-teamers first, I could very well see EG snatching a win from them.

True, MLB might not be like the rest. But it depends on the context. If the majority of people don't GG, then it's not really a custom anymore. Just like the person I quoted said that in MLB players don't always shake hands/congratulate each other. But since most people agree that GG is the polite thing to do, that's what the accepted notion is.

I didn't follow the qualifiers this season, but I assume this is zenexlife, who was chosen by zenex to play in the team ace invitational and is constantly at the top of the Korean ladder. Definitely not embarrassing for Puma to lose to a player like that in his worst matchup.

Quite a bit more sparse in basketball and football. Although soccer can get quite hectic as well. And this isn't something in-game we're talking about. It's what happens after the game. There's just different expectations for each sport I guess.
