Srsly a plat player who just held down the r and z button to make roach/ling off 3 base probably could've won after that opening.

Does anyone else think he did a Cocoa?

Ok, I've been reading a lot of Coca references, can anyone fill me in?

coca basically gave byun free wins so he could get a few bucks in the korean weekly, it's called match fixing and is illegal, people were suspended by KeSPa for life from match-fixing

This is a gross overexageration.

Coca tanked game 2 of a bo3 (he'd won both the first 2) so he and Byun could play a full 3 game series, but ended up losing the third game so Byun advanced. It was the very first round of the tournament, they weren't even close to the money stages.

Coca got kicked out of the GSL, SLayerS house, and ESV tournaments as a result

Honestly that is looking like the most reasonable explanation. Nestea just DOES NOT give away mutas like that. And those banelings... wow.

Nestea has always had poor multi-tasking. He prob looked away from the mutas for a few sec too many to do other things.

The game alerts you when your units are under attack. A gold leaguer could have fled from that faster than NesTea did.

i either hope nestea got good money for throwing that match, or i hope there's treatment for whatever defect he's developed because no zerg in the GSL would ever do that and win. first and foremost i'm happy huk won but i mean seriously lets break this down.

-huk messes his build up pretty bad and gets doubled in supply, was down two bases the whole game almost

-nestea puts mutas on hold position that SLOWLY die in his huk's main over the course of like 10 seconds with no response and sits in storms

-makes like 40 banelings to kill archons because you know thats smart

-sees the pylon up there and LETS his base die

-makes broods and moves them into the middle of the map with nothing there at all to cover them?

that's not how a GSL champion plays zerg, at all. his ZvP is infinitely better than his ZvT yet he played better against MMA ten-fold. what the fuck was that?

Honestly this kind of shit should be punished more than the whole Coca/Byun thing. I feel like starcraft has been stripped of meaning. Not exaggerating here: there is a gaping hole in what used to be the essence of watching starcraft.

I'm not accusing of match-fixing. I'm just saying that by witnessing my idol "throw" an important game like that, it really feels more like a stab in the back when compared to Coca/Byun fooling around in some random tournament.

I know he's playing sloppy but why arrogant? Other players play crappy after getting a lead but it's not always due to cockiness

im quite sure that is cockiness right there.

you dont accidentally make 80 banelings. definitely points towards cockiness imo as well

Didn't he do the same at Blizzcon? Where people accused him of playing around.

Well it wasn't banes, but yah he had a big lead and blew it by making 20+ broods and running them at an army of ghosts with no detection.
This was an even less convincing effort

The game was already over, you have no way of scouting a viking switch (when the production has been there for hte last 20 minutes), and you kind of have to gamble that he's not going vikings when he has 20 ghosts [i.e. youc an't have 10 less broods and be safe against viking but still win against 0 vikings].

You simply have no idea what you're talking about.

Nestea had 15k 4k banked against a terran with nothing banked he could of done pretty much anything, if you watched the game he made terrible choices.

This game, guys, is just the worst game ever of the GSL seriously my mind blown away watching this... there is no explanation for NesTea's poor play this game really, and HuK played pretty badly too at the beginning...

I wish people wouldn't bring up match fixing so quickly. The most likely explanation is Nestea got complacent thinking he was so far ahead and thought he would do something cute and win with banelings.

Nestea was almost here have some Mutas to kill! Oh?! You want some other units to kill how about some extra Banes+Lings to kill? If you do it fast enough you can kill a bunch of Broodlords afterwards for free!

Would be cool to have proof, that this was really nestea playing because I can't believe he can play that poor.

I dunno, I've seen diamond players do it.

He was preparing his attack on the third, that's why he lost it. I'm not saying its defendable, but he was tilting thats it.

When i watch a game of any protoss i notice 50 mistakes that i think is bad and i should've done better. When i play a game myself i do 500 mistakes and don't even notice them.

Fuck the idiots that say this was a fixed game there is absolutely nothing that either player would achieve from it. Nestea got cocky with all those banes and didn't have the economy to back it up, simple as that

Losing mutas.... happens.... I think he assumed he was safe in that little corner? Don't know....

And for the banelings... well Huk controlled Stalkers pretty well to be honest... it was not necessarilly that bad....

I guess he wasn't paying attention to the broodlords.... this kind of thing can happen when your army is spread all around the map and you have 5 bases to manage... no? ....

I'm actually really confused right now... I don't know what to think...
