HUh, I'm surprised there aren't as many zerg fanboys jumping around and pointing to the fact that only 3 zergs are in the Ro16

I think most Zerg fans know there's not a lot to argue about really:

Most people picked YugiOh as the weakest Code S player
Losira got himself into a decent position against sC but proceeded to get himself rolled in a standard marine/tank game
Curious choked after having aLive at a huge disadvantage
DRG didn't play up to what we'd expect and just got straight up beat
July apparently has no idea how to ZvP

It helps that the 2 Zergs who fell to Code A round 1 have already won their Code A games pretty convincingly I guess.

I think most Zerg fans can be pretty happy in general lately since they've clearly got the strongest players in the foreign scene with the Stephano/Sen/Idra trifecta atm and even if that's not as important as the GSL it's pretty nice.

+ NesTea is still alive =p

Also, we are waiting for Grack to lose in the U&D to release the tears.

Haha, cheesed out 5 straight? =p

What a sad day ): I was actually looking forward to an all Terran Ro16. This sucks. I kinda wasted my money, but at least I get to see my two favorite Protosses (MC and Puzzle) play. Still though, I am hoping one day for an all Terran Code A and S GSL.

Edit. Does anybody know when IdrA comes play the up and downs? He's the ONLY good foreigner outside of SaSe and Thorzain.

really? lol.

you have to be trolling

He doesn't. He's happy that protoss won, but he would be happier if protoss lost so he could whine about terran. A lot of people are like him. Which is what I pointed in a previous post, a lot of people are not watching starcraft because they enjoy the game, but because they enjoy whining after the games. (it's sadly a truth). He's just the most caricatural sample of those people (hey, his nick is devPLEASE)

About the ravens, yeah in the game we're talking about there is no excuse not getting one, especially he had one reacport and one naked port for vikings. The real problem of mid-late game TvP ravens is feedback, not because it will kill the raven (at least if you're careful with it), but because it makes the raven basically a visible, expansive observer (but still worth it in the kind of situation like in this game, when you float 1000 gas and you're one techlab away from raven tech)

I might be wrong but I think that's the perfect group for HuK if he ever wants to be a champion.
You know...all that "to be the best you need to beat the best" crappy moto ^^, if he goes through it's 1 or 2 less champions in the final 8

Leenock is really bad Zvp...like outrageous. Also, Toss is MMA's worst match-up, so there's still a chance he'll go through

Yeah, it's a group of death on paper but not in reality (for Huk at least)
Huk will most likely not even face Nestea and will just have to play Leenock (July-esque vP) and MMA (Ryung-esque vP)

Even if he didn't have a naked starport, the money he would have saved in marauders lost to dts could have paid for a new starport with techlab that could produce a raven and then switch off to a new barracks (the saved scans could easily keep the new racks busy). He didn't even need one for his offensive group, one sitting at his rally location would have served very nicely.
For the Overmind.

wrong poll?

Wrong title but good poll.

Huk is just guaranteed to have a shoot in the up and down matches right now.
And if he doesn't place 1st or 2nd in his ro16 group he'll be in code ro24, with only one bo3 to win for direct code S.

I rerepost this awesome and easy to understand format pic by andrea20 :

Wow he's not even guaranteed code S even though he won his group :O

They REALLY changed the system to have a fast flow of players. No doubt to flood out the abundance of terrans quicker and make GSL more interesting, which seems to be what is happening.

Yeah, I don't think that many people have top notch vP right now, especially not the guys who have been getting far in code S.

As a zerg player, I'm not particularly worried yet. Less terrans on ro16 is good and there's nothing that seems to be absolutely tearing zergs apart. Should zergs fail to requalify and the trend continue in next GSL I'd start to worry. Right now it seems to be within the limits of acceptable fluctuation considering how bad the last seasons have been when it comes to distribution in general.

How so?

39% representation in KR GM
Most qualifiers for this Code A (43%)
3/4 toss advancing in Code A so far (only loser being recent random player guineapig vs recent code s ASD)
5/5 toss advancing in Code S.

Good times for Aiur I'd say

This will be the beginning of the rise of zerg and protoss players in the gsl. Both Z/P have showed to be really good vs terran in the last months despite what people say. Just look at the most recent cups and major tournaments outside of korea they're almost all won by zergs. fun fact: the last 10 monthly online cups in the eu scene didnt have a single terran in the finals in any of them.

Its always been that way... The only terrans who win are Korean terrans. People will still whine about terrans though while Zergs dominate NA and Protoss dominates EU.
