Pretty sure he's talking about using Ravens to catch burrowed units, obs, etc. When Ravens stop moving at 1 centimeter an hour, then maybe Terrans will consider using them. Until then, it's purely a defensive endgame unit. lol, they are the basic speed... 2.25, just like hydras they are faster than a protoss army that has HT in the mix Terran and zergs are so spoiled that anything that does not move 3+ is slow.... Except when you are using them in a midgame defensive utility to catch burrowed banelings, that 2.25 is terrible. Recon units need speed to be effective, especially something as expensive as a Raven. You have to look at the usage for each unit. I totally disagree. In a situation where you leapfrog siege tanks, if you have the apm to spare to bring a raven and take a semi-good care of it, you can not only make sure not to get baneling bombed, but also remove creep. I think we will definitly more of this in pro matches.
Leapfrogging tanks, micro'ing marines, and trying to be aware of your surroundings against constant mutalisk harass, and the possibility of a Zerg attack at any second - add in having to babysit a Raven with that? I'm sure BW A-teamers have the potential to do all of that WELL, and keep constant good macro at home, but I'm not sure anyone else can. Keep in mind, this game is much more damage heavy than BW - blink away for 2 seconds, and your army might be gone. I think a scan is probably much more "safe" in these scenarios.

You don't usually dont do alot of those leap-frog tank pushes in a game and since your going to want to scan to know where their army is anyway saving a few more scans for that big decisive push is better than having a raven which is useless in fights.

I'm speaking mostly in terms of vs protoss. Yes a raven can be dangerous versus zerg because you can lose your whole army in a second and having an expensive raven won't help much ad PDD doesn't stop banes and lings.

What a sad day ): I was actually looking forward to an all Terran Ro16. This sucks. I kinda wasted my money, but at least I get to see my two favorite Protosses (MC and Puzzle) play. Still though, I am hoping one day for an all Terran Code A and S GSL.
Edit. Does anybody know when IdrA comes play the up and downs? He's the ONLY good foreigner outside of SaSe and Thorzain.

HUh, I'm surprised there aren't as many zerg fanboys jumping around and pointing to the fact that only 3 zergs are in the Ro16

Theres a very obvious answer to this question that I'm not even gonna point out .

Holy shit, Huk is sooo fucked. According to Liquipedia his ro16 group is:
Nestea MMA Leenock Huk
I mean, he looked great today but he's going to need a miracle to get to the ro8 o_o

I am well aware that pdd is pretty good vs protoss but it doesnt last very long in end-game. And right now TvP lategame is very micro intensive trying to get off emp, spreading, flanking with vikings and so on that most terrans dont want to micro a raven aswell. But yes maybe some terran will start using them effectivly and they will grow in popularity who knows.
One thing you have to consider as well is starport production is VERY important for the terran we always have to make sure we have enough vikings to counter collusus and if we're off by one-two cycles for getting medivacs or whatever its a pretty big deal. So I think you would have to get an extra starport just for that raven if your up against collu builds.

Not gonna lie, as much as I dislike HuK, I will acknowledge that he's a good player. I think he can beat Leenock. As for MMA or NesTea, he CAN beat them but I don't think he will.

I think most Zerg fans know there's not a lot to argue about really:
Most people picked YugiOh as the weakest Code S player Losira got himself into a decent position against sC but proceeded to get himself rolled in a standard marine/tank game Curious choked after having aLive at a huge disadvantage DRG didn't play up to what we'd expect and just got straight up beat July apparently has no idea how to ZvP
It helps that the 2 Zergs who fell to Code A round 1 have already won their Code A games pretty convincingly I guess.
I think most Zerg fans can be pretty happy in general lately since they've clearly got the strongest players in the foreign scene with the Stephano/Sen/Idra trifecta atm and even if that's not as important as the GSL it's pretty nice.
+ NesTea is still alive =p
