Nestea: PSSSSST, MMA! Wanna know how to beat MVP? MMA:....sure. ....wait why are you doing this? Nestea: Because....can't let that bastard get 4 GSL titles before me!!

Nice troll lol. MMA played better today, but you seem to not be capable of counting 1 title vs 3 titles (with carpel tunnel)? Yea so wordless.
Or maybe the fact MMA has won 4 out of the last 5 matches they've played... Should probably think about that rather than counting titles. That shows closed-mindedness, not the best thing to have when trying to argue facts.
So you're arguing temporary form? He said mma will ALWAYS be the better player. I'm referring to consistency over months of playing, not over 5 games bro. Get your facts straight first. You're showing closed-mindedness by saying someone is better for winning 1 series instead of looking at overall history. Jangbi beat Flash 1 starleague, jangbi will always be the better player right?
.. Are you completely retarded?.. I said over their past FIVE MATCHES, dating back to March of this year. MMA has won FOUR out of those, Mvp ONE, which was MLG Anaheim. That's not temporary, that's consistency over months of playing. How about you get YOUR facts straight, "bro". You just made yourself look like a complete idiot by trying to argue against what I just had to reiterate in a clearer form for you to understand. If you want to maintain any dignity whatsoever, I would suggest you stop posting now.
Calm down..no I didn't understand what you were saying. And actually I don't even remember them playing 5 matches since March. This gsl, mlg, that one g..can't remember the exact tournament name but someone previously has mentioned it. You really need to relax.
edit: are you counting best of 1s in the team leagues?
I think they play against each other in
1. GSTL 1 game (1-0 MMA) 2. MLG Anaheim 1 Match (2-1 MVP) 3. Geforce Pro/Amateur Winner Round X (MMA 2-X can't really remember). 4. Geforce Pro/Amateur Final (MMA Wins) 5. GSL October (MMA 4-1)
So if you include the online tournament, then MMA is winning head to head.
Online tournaments hold very little water, and best of 1's hold no water. MMA outplayed MVP today, plain and simple. But one series does not let you supplant the best player at the moment. It must be consistency and excellence. Lest we forget MVP just went through the toughest GSL run last season and won.

I never saw the marine tank medivac 3/3 3/3 off of 4 base from quick double expand by Mvp that scares the hell out of me, and everyone else. The double carpal tunnel must have really hurt his gameplay and forced him to mech on almost every game. Mvp still had great banshee control when he wasn't suiciding them to marines though.
Great victory by MMA, but I feel that Mvp wasn't playing to his full potential, especially with the condition of his wrists. When Mvp gets his wrists fixed, I hope to see MMA and Mvp play each other again in the Code S finals in the next few seasons after, with MMA winning fair and square, and not due to extenuating circumstances regarding the other player. Great games overall though, probably the best finals in GSL history.
Also, fact: When MMA was playing Polt in the Super Tournament, I voted for MMA and saw the horrific 4-0. So this time I voted for Mvp. Another fact: John the Translator is damn awesome.

Well I think it's clear now, MMA can beat anyone, on any map with any style... Except for polt :>
This might have been the best single series in the history of Starcraft 2.
Not just because the games were good, but because that crowd was absolutely incredible. If Starcraft 2 ever gets to like a major sport-level status here in the US, all of us will say "yeah, I saw the turning point.. it was the GSL Finals at Blizzcon".
That crowd was simply enormous. If I was on stage casting that game and came out to see the energy and sheer size of the crowd, I'd have a hard time not just breaking out into tears of joy.

I like MMA as a player, and as a person he also seems to be a cool guy. Overall I am OK to see him winning.
However, saying that he is now a better player than MVP is imho a big exageration. His TvT seems to be pretty darn good, but I doubt his TvP or TvZ are as good as MVP's.
There are more MUs than TvT that determine a player's overall skill as well as a look back in the past - and in the past MVP has been dominant.
This dominance includes beating the arguably best Zerg player (Nestea) in two consecutive GSLs iirc, whereas MMA got 0-3'ed at IPL by some Zerg named "Lucky".
Not to take anything away from MMA, but if he is better than the one, who is considered to be the best SC2-player by lot of people right now, he should under no circumstances lose to a code A Zerg in such a poor manner. (Not saying that he shouldn't be allowed to lose, but 0-3 is inacceptable)
One player consistently beating the other dosen't mean that the player who wins is the better player for sure. Zenio has a good record against MVP, does that means he the better player? You have to take into consideration records against different players and different matchups as well.
Some players always seem to get the better of 1 player. Like Polt vs MMA. Its just their styles + preparation clashing.

I don't think his wrists affected him in the game. With that amount of adrenaline pumping through your body, you won't really register wrist pain, and MVP did say he was in the best condition possible for the match.
It feels more like he didn't prepare and assumed he'd smash MMA after seeing MMA's previous games against Happy or something, whereas MMA went all out and probably practiced with Ryung until Ryung wanted to punch his face in. Especially seeing as how MVP went mech on DS, which isn't a very mech-friendly map at all. He tried to do a one-size-fits-all strategy, while MMA poured his soul into those games and really put a lot of thought into how he was going to play.

No only because when MVP broke the contains MMA had taken the map and was up by 2 or more bases.
