Nice troll lol. MMA played better today, but you seem to not be capable of counting 1 title vs 3 titles (with carpel tunnel)? Yea so wordless.

Or maybe the fact MMA has won 4 out of the last 5 matches they've played... Should probably think about that rather than counting titles. That shows closed-mindedness, not the best thing to have when trying to argue facts.

So you're arguing temporary form? He said mma will ALWAYS be the better player. I'm referring to consistency over months of playing, not over 5 games bro. Get your facts straight first. You're showing closed-mindedness by saying someone is better for winning 1 series instead of looking at overall history. Jangbi beat Flash 1 starleague, jangbi will always be the better player right?

.. Are you completely retarded?.. I said over their past FIVE MATCHES, dating back to March of this year. MMA has won FOUR out of those, Mvp ONE, which was MLG Anaheim. That's not temporary, that's consistency over months of playing. How about you get YOUR facts straight, "bro". You just made yourself look like a complete idiot by trying to argue against what I just had to reiterate in a clearer form for you to understand. If you want to maintain any dignity whatsoever, I would suggest you stop posting now.

Lol calm down, MMA clearly beats MVP in H2H but MVP is most likely the better player overall. If you're right, MMA will prove it during the next seasons.

Calm down..no I didn't understand what you were saying. And actually I don't even remember them playing 5 matches since March. This gsl, mlg, that one g..can't remember the exact tournament name but someone previously has mentioned it. You really need to relax.

edit: are you counting best of 1s in the team leagues?

I still see MVP as the better overall player but MMA outplayed MVP this series no doubt. His builds were crisp and clearly designed to counter MVP's playstyle. Really well played by MMA and great series!

I like MMA as a player, and as a person he also seems to be a cool guy. Overall I am OK to see him winning.

However, saying that he is now a better player than MVP is imho a big exageration.
His TvT seems to be pretty darn good, but I doubt his TvP or TvZ are as good as MVP's.

There are more MUs than TvT that determine a player's overall skill as well as a look back in the past - and in the past MVP has been dominant.

This dominance includes beating the arguably best Zerg player (Nestea) in two consecutive GSLs iirc, whereas MMA got 0-3'ed at IPL by some Zerg named "Lucky".

Not to take anything away from MMA, but if he is better than the one, who is considered to be the best SC2-player by lot of people right now, he should under no circumstances lose to a code A Zerg in such a poor manner. (Not saying that he shouldn't be allowed to lose, but 0-3 is inacceptable)

Both MVP and MMA are pretty mediocre at TvP. I can't honestly choose either one over the other.

MVP's TvZ is definitely better than MMA's though. (But I'd still say that MMA has the second-best TvZ in the world.)

I have no idea MMA has such a huge following. He's one of my favorite pros, usually the guy thats the biggest winner gets the loudest pop.

MMA actually has one of the best TvZ's out there right now and always has.
But at this point it's too hard to say that there is 1 best player, and I doubt it will ever be that easy.

I'm equally as big a fan of MVP as MMA. The genius that honestly won MMA game 5 was the fact that he denied gas mining and tech labs consistently, even as to throw away 2-3 medivacs worth of stuff just to snipe refineries repeatedly. MVP was floating so much minerals because of that, on top of mech being overall gas heavy. The downfall really was the lack of turret rings, which he tried to establish in dual sight but consistently got taken down by pronged attacks. He didn't even try to put them up in Terminus despite the fact he was always above 1k minerals. MMA's pressure was just too good and probably got MVP rattled hard. Just my 2 cents. I don't think any less of MVP, today MMA was just the better player.

I think they play against each other in

1. GSTL 1 game (1-0 MMA)
2. MLG Anaheim 1 Match (2-1 MVP)
3. Geforce Pro/Amateur Winner Round X (MMA 2-X can't really remember).
4. Geforce Pro/Amateur Final (MMA Wins)
5. GSL October (MMA 4-1)

So if you include the online tournament, then MMA is winning head to head.

I don't understand why mvp built so many vikings, he could have done with a lot less of them.

For those who missed the games, the restream is available at Blizz page, you can skip and fast forward. I woke up and just started watching from the start without spoiliing myself with results

I have so many feelings right now I don't even know how to express them all. I am so happy for MMA and I really hope he can carry his momentum into the next season. I am amused as hell that he lost every time to Ryung in practice but bossed it up here ( Ryung is of course cursing himself now as he fades into the shadows). MMA really appreciated the crowds love of him and he was so humble about his chances but determined. I am sad he did not use speed reaper + medivac drops though, of all the cool stuff he did tonight that was the one I really wanted. I am excited for next season now as I think MMA and the rest of the SlayerS team can really shake things up.

On the flip side I am proud of MVP for putting up a decent fight and I also hope he does well next season. One loss in the finals does not devalue his past achievements and I like when dominant players remain that way. The game feels more stable and enjoyable when there's a core group of players who really know how each other ticks. I dunno if he needs to vary his mech style any ( Bomber and ganzi fell pretty damn easy to it) or if only MMA can challenge it yet. I would like to see something new and surprising out of him though and I do miss the times when he would occasional go bio like he did vs Top last season.

I also still want a serious rivalry between SlayerS and IM to spring up ( Next finals Nestea vs Coca plz?) as I like the storylines it can produce. As it is MMA, MVP and Nestea seem to take turns stomping on each other and it's always exciting to see who comes out on top.

Overall a good finals ( I'm not sure when we will ever see a great one though) that was well worth watching.

It feels kind of ironic to see MMA fans talking about shutting the MVP fans up, usually the MMA fans are the more vocal ones... People on both sides need to chill: MMA played much better than MVP today, and he seems to have MVP's number (like Bomber used to). But MVP is more consistent, had another event to practice for, and is suffering from 2x CTS. So yes, MMA beats MVP in H2H. But overall, I think that MVP is the better player. Plus i want to see MVP dominate

Yup . Mvp is the best in my heart .

so that he can get banshees. His banshees were able to do so much damage because its impossible for MMA to get air control with that many vikings.
