I don't think sase is quite there yet to take this whole mlg but this guy in 6 months- year is going to be the next big thing.
His micro, his strategies, everything is just so beautiful. I kept a notepad of things i seen in this mlg that i want to try in my own play and basically everything is about what sase is doing.
Every other protoss ive seen in the last two months has just been doing the same shit they've been doing for months but sase is finally giving me some inspirational play

Dont care about bomber or any of those, overated like most koreans, i actually respect puma and july, feel july will do really well tomorrow as he began to do today. But huk is better than any of the koreans and playing anywheres near his normal level he will win easy. Have you ever watched Bomber's Gsl games? Huk and idra no chance against bomber. it will be pure easy wins for bomber. Just TheStC or Mc can stop him. You know how like Huk could not stop MC or god forbid code B player Sase could not stop bomber? Bomber is clearly the favorite but I would not count out Huk. Idra has a long way through some brackets before that even becomes an issue. Are u serious? Man Mc won 2 times gsl. Huk is not. Mc is x4 skiller than huk and other foreigeners. is it enough for u? but MC now is in Code B and not even code A. At the current level, HuK is better is idra coda S or coda a? But he's better than some code b and a korean zergs right? And can u say all code a players better than mc? if u say then u have no idea about mc and sc2. idra was code S previously, I don't know which code he could get into now. I am not saying all code a player is better than mc but huk is in code S for a reason, he is playing and winning against better players more consistently

Tyler won against a tired KawaiiRice.. does that mean we'll have him back for another 0-5 performance in pool play for Providence?

First yes threre was a a GSL vs World Tournament. Good job. Second, no July did not save the koreans from losing...actually he got knocked out at Ro16...by NaDa who just happened to be Korean. And like how you phrase it, you make it seem like foreigners were absolutely smashed Koreans left and right but Dimaga was the only one who took a series off a korean with a huge unexpected win over Nestea who was K.O'd by san... He was referring to the team GSL vs the world tournament, where Korea won 8-7. July got 4 wins in that series, taking out White Ra, Huk, Jinro, and Moonglade before falling to Dimaga. that is, a team GSL though andnot really an individual league where its not bo1....If you want to bring up team leagues...well...theres that showmatch between World All Stars and Team IM where Losira, MVP and Nestea didnt participate in and that didnt turn out too well for them considering IM's roster...

I don't know if anybody is sure where the rankings will end up at the moment. A lot depends on whether or not those listed 1-20 now decide to show up. I think the league exchange program is still occurring for providence finals (?) which is a bit silly considering it's based on rank points.

This is the first time Tyler has been back in pool play in 3 MLGs.
Was this post really necessary?

Comparing Huk and MC based on GSL performance, when both actively compete in the GSL seems fair. Huk has managed to stay in Code S despite how terribly Protoss players have done there, while MC has been knocked out of not only Code S, but Code A as well. As I am sure you know, Idra was Code S before he chose to leave.
MC also went herpderp and picked MVP for his group play while huk chose Virus. A lot of gsl success depend on your group difficulty.
|
What happens if huk in still code S! He has no top 4 or win gsl. Mc got this twice. Mc also can beat korean terrans but huk can't. Huk is good at pvp and pvz. But mc's pvt much much better than Huk. His pvz is nearly the same level with huk.

Group play Koreans vs. Foreigners at MLG since the exchange program started (Select and Moonan counted as NA)
Columbus 20-3 (87%) Anaheim 26-0 (100%) Raleigh 28-4 (87%) Orlando 25-8 (76%)
Pretty significant difference. Twice as many sets won by foreigners as has happened earlier this year. Obviously the top Koreans are still better, but it really appears as if the gap is closing a little bit.

Also, unless the format's changed, there won't be any pool play at providence. There's going to be a "championship winners bracket" that will look like the current loser's bracket and have seeding determined by MLG ranking.
Back to the LR thread, what were the recommended games for Day 2?

IdrA vs MKP was pretty exciting.

Highlight this MLG has been Sase slaying nerds left and right, then killing Bomber
And MKP almost not taking things seriously and still slapping people around. I want to see Sase and Stephano put up a fight against the koreans, they are our only realistic hope

Anyhow MKP has to win this tournement

Looks like an exciting day tomorrow, cant wait.

Just watched Idra vs. MKP.
I don't get Idra, why the hell he does not upgrade his units at all. He started 1 armor when MKP was pretty much on 3/3. And 3/3 marines rapes everything unupgraded..

i think incontrols mechanics are as good as julyzergs but the protoss metagame is so bizarre it escapes even the best tosses

Is it possible to watch Vods without a premium ticket?
I can't afford one.
