Not going to bother counting how many Koreans attended those MLGs because I am lazy. And the stats do not show that much anyways
well you should...it gives a relative measure of how foreigners truly measure up to koreans...I mean tlots of foreigners takig series off koreans in this MLG sure...but statistically they're still tearing it up like just about every other MLG except they're losing 2-3 more additional series (which is a nice improvement to see but in relative speaking..not much improvement)

The statistics says he's kinda average, but these games looked really nice. I'd like to see more of him in general.
Yea it's weird, nobody talks about him but then he places well in every MLG and takes games off Koreans. Most underrated player in all of SC2 imo - people literally never talk about him as a factor.

So if there were 50% of Koreans and 50% of foreigners participating MLG from the very beginning, the result would be even more one-sided for Koreans

Here is the recap:
Of the 4 pools:
3 had a Korean at the Top 2 had a foreigner in 2nd place 0 had Koreans at the bottom
And top 8:
5 Koreans 3 Foreigners
Top 16 10 Koreans 6 Foreigners
So... those posts about Korean domination being over seem kinda silly in hindsight.
Foreigners have been doing progressively better every MLG. Look how many took series/games off Koreans compared to the past. I don't think anyone said the Korean domination is over, but it's clearly getting better.
Well obviously. But it's all relative to past MLGs. There were fewer in the first MLG's and more and more have come every time, yet the foreigners do better every time.
Someone posts the stats after every MLG and compares them to past events. Just keep an eye out for them, they will be tremendously better than ever before, despite more Koreans.
Also, I disagree with the guy who said they the best Koreans aren't here. It doesn't get much better than Bomber, Hero, July, and Polt. Bomber is pretty much equal to MVP.
Bomber is a top 5 player, but he's no MVP.
This. Once bomber wins 1 championship...lol.
Once he wins 3 championships (bout to be 4 for mvp), then we can call bomber pretty much equal to mvp k?

I should but I don't want to and I don't really care much about this. i was just burning time. Maybe later

Definition of progamer? when you get paid for it (and i guess nowdays as long as you stay in a Team and compete with the best). Doesn't matter how good you are. He knows a lot about the game, but yes, he can't play as good as others seem to play.
He still has a good place in this community even though he isn't that good right now/anymore. Coaching which has been his 2nd job all along, doing sponsoring stuff for EG and whatnot.
Sure, he's sponsored now, but for how long? Companies don't sponsor losers.
IdrA is going to be one unhappy kid tomorrow....
I believe in miracles.
We have to be optimistic!
Together, we can channel our positivity into Idra winning, just like we did at IEM.
We can do it, you and me.
But as a Korean, IdrA is definitely not one of my favoured players in this MLG :p I honestly think IdrA can go far and possibly crack top 6 and even crack top 4 assuming its theSTC waiting for him. I think his greatest obstacle might be a foreigner (SaSe or Stephano unless boxer manages to beat them both which is unlikely...I'm looking forward to tomorrow ^^

well..no..bomber is not pretty much equal to MVP, hes pretty much a lock at #1
Of the players here, Bomber, HerO and Polt are tremendous players. I agree...but lets see the players who the koreans could have brought instead of latters..
Slayers_Boxer, replace with Slayers MMA ST_July replace with colMVP_DRG Inori replace with SlayersGanzi EGPuma, replace with IMMVP replace theSTC with someone like oGsNaDa/IMLosirA Fnatic Rain with Slayers Taeja HongUn Prime...any other protoss.
Just theres still a vast amount of players in the pool that are better than the ones at this MLG that could make things infinitely more interesting and a nightmare towards foreigners. I'm sure foreigners will take series or two for sure but...hell of a lot more difficult
HongUn compared to any other protoss? Who would you choose? Currently there are two protoss in code S, Huk and Killer. Killer is currently at IEM new york, but has not done great in other foreign tourneys. Inori had some sick PvP last week, but apparently is not consistent enough to make it through an MLG style tourney, as he lost PvP in the OWB to Ddoro, and the other protoss have apparently caught up on the PvP meta-game in the last week.
Fnatic rain is an American player, as he currently resides in the USA with his parents, my understanding is that this is a permanent arrangement.
Huk 2-1ed Nada in GSL August, in a fairly convincing fashion, and Nada attended the last MLG.
I understand and fully believe Korea has the best players, but this is a pretty good sample. Obviously if you brought MVP, or Nestea they would win the tourney, as they are the top in the world right now by a long shot. The current sample is just a good representation of run of the mill code A or code S players.

Once again you should think a bit before posting.
Incontrol is VALUABLE for Team EG. Same as LzGamer and Machine are. Especially InControl has a big imago in the community. He is doing one of the fan-favorite shows called SoTG and Inside the Game, he knows a lot of the game which can be helpful for the rest of the team, and not to mention his connection between the sponsors which in EG's case seem to be really big, despite the success he has had lately.
In short, if EG wants to get rid of someone, it definitely won't be Incontrol.
Dont care about bomber or any of those, overated like most koreans, i actually respect puma and july, feel july will do really well tomorrow as he began to do today. But huk is better than any of the koreans and playing anywheres near his normal level he will win easy.
