Here is the recap: Of the 4 pools: 3 had a Korean at the Top 2 had a foreigner in 2nd place 0 had Koreans at the bottom And top 8: 5 Koreans 3 Foreigners Top 16 10 Koreans 6 Foreigners So... those posts about Korean domination being over seem kinda silly in hindsight. Foreigners have been doing progressively better every MLG. Look how many took series/games off Koreans compared to the past. I don't think anyone said the Korean domination is over, but it's clearly getting better.[/QUOTE]

The korean that attended MLG this time was not the best of the best. I think Bomber and Hero is quite good, infact very good. But MVP is far better than bomber and many many Korean Zergs and Terrans are better than Hero. But many of the best foreigners attended this MLG, like Huk, Idra, Jinro?, KiwiKaki, Sase, Ret and Stephano (still wating to se how far he will go, since he was not in pool play.) None other than Huk managed to get in winners bracket, the rest got high up in champ bracket. 3vs1 korean/forigners in winners bracket, and 2 vs 2 korean/Forigners on the highest champion bracket level. Its pretty clear that Koreans are getting pretty high up, and are better. Only Korean protosses and Boxer and some open brackets Koreans got lower than the highest level in champ bracket.

I guess its better now we have champions like sase though. And at least the foreigners are not getting stomped by Rain and Boxer.

Looking at the statistics...It looks decent 10/16 so almost half akorea half foreigners..but lets put it in a new light... There's a total of 13 koreans playing at this event... Polt is likely to advance and beat TLO, bearing a huge upset...and up against Sheth where he will still be favourited so you may be looking at 11 koreans of 13 at top 16... TSLaLive. one of the few koreans eliminated was eliminated by Polt, who just happens to be korean. Inori has been the only korean successfully eliminated by a foreigner. so youre looking at basically 11/12 koreans (discounting aLive) still remaining.... Korean domination? Clearly seen. Just as a fun additional fact..its sort of funny how the #2 and #1 seed foreigners, HuK and IdrA, have been both long-time Code S regulars and just about everyone else has struggled outside of SaSe who played in Code A

Yea, they are getting better.... slowly.. But we are no where near to se a possibe GSL foringer winner caliber forigner. And maaaaaybe we can look at Huk like a possible MLG champion winner, still going to be very hard for Huk fighting all those Koreans alone. Its really nice to see Huk doing well and practicing like a CHAMP in Korea and pwning some koreans faces! ;; Glad, that Idra is going to Korea to practice. Korea seems to have paid of for Sase as well! :D Will be looking for Naniwa's return to MLG at MLG providence!!!!
