It's a big city, and knowing NYC traffic 5 minutes is pretty optimistic. What kind of person goes sightseeing and is late for their tournament match? Haha...

I know the brackets were random, but I will LOL when we get the 2nd place(or even 1st!!) foreigner and all people jump to conclusions about the skill gap

Who got Lost? Didn't manage to catch that last part

"Lets let them kill each other and then send a white guy to claim 2nd place." This much white people protection hasn't happened since Operation Human Shield in the South Park movie. Magically DRG went from 1st to 2nd and we have an all Korean leg of a champ bracket, whoopdiiiidooooooo.......
yawn. Quite amazing you managed to listen enough to pick up the bracket structure but not enough to hear it was random. :p

I'm surprised people are still surprised by unexpected results. That seems to be the norm of starcraft 2, especially considering its volatility.

go little bad girl

What's the name of this song?

It's all Gatored's fault. I don't think anyone is surprised that FruitDealer finished second in his group, but all you silly people blaming IEM for the brackets ought to be blaming DRG for losing to Gatored.

If this is MLG the player would have been DQed :p

He's here!
Next game starting shortly.

But who got lost?

TT1 arriving out-of-breath XD
|
hehehe, 1/4 finals are made for kor vs foreigner final
|
Normally I would put DRG way ahead of TOP but DRG's wasn't really in a good form yesterday. I downloaded replays and the games are not up to his usual standard. So anything can happen.

Still pretty sure this is the biggest upset in a major tournament in SC2 history. DRG is seen as a very top Korean (the informal power rank had him at #3, remember), and Gatored is a low-mid range NA pro from a mid range team, to be generous.
Now, it's clear that DRG's ZvP is not awesome, and that Gatored has some legit skills, but I think upsets are about perception, and the perception was that Gatored was not gonna beat DRG in a million years.

I hope they are streaming all the quarterfinals, otherwise choosing TT1 vs Gatored is just....
