Someone who wins their group should always play someone who finished second in another... That is how it worked. All match-ups are a 1 vs 2, it's just that the pools they came from are randomized.

That's what happened. Look at the group results.
TOP (1) vs DRG (2) SangHo (1) vs FD (2) Gatored (1) vs TT1 (2) Elfi (1) vs Killer (2)

Guess three times Three good guesses would be:
1 1 and finally 1

yes, but that's presumably wrong since Mana did in fact take a map off TOP.
ed: yup, poke took a map off TT1, not off Mana/TOP

DRG > SangHo Elfi > Gatored
DRG > Elfi I think that seems pretty reasonable

So, i'm curious since this always happens in every tournament:
If the standard accepted level of skill is often ranked as KR>EU>NA region wise, and the moment any KR falls to a foreigner the claims are "WERE CATCHING UP TO KOREANS".
proceeding the group stages of today's matches...
is it now KR > NA > EU? I mean look at the standings! the AM players got more seeds into the championship bracket than EU! conclusive no?
+ Show Spoiler + this is just to poke fun mostly at people who jump to quick conclusions about "skill gaps closing" post people do. I'm actually very happy to see NA players doing better, but i still think KR has this tournament ezpz
