Great event by IGN. Even though they had major internet problems in the start which wasn't even their fault they still kept me entertained with Lani and the other staff.

Only downside that I wish they consider for the next event would be too not put league of legends like they did this time. Put it on another stream or whatever but if it's already 1AM I don't want to sit to 3AM for LoL to end just to catch the final. It kinda ruins the experience when you've seen the whole event live but you miss the finals because of a game you got no interest in.

Gee Gee

edit: oh! Forgot! They better have lilsusie, smix and lani back for the next one!

not only did a foreigner win a tournament with 14 koreans ( edit2: in ro32 ), but it was someone who
1) is only known for ladder results, which aren't supposed to mean anything,
2) doesn't come from a big known team,
3) said on the stage he doesn't know the korean opponents, because he doesn't watch gsl,

... and he did it beating 5 koreans, huk the foreigner code s player and kiwikaki who is known for being a good tournament player.

this was exactly what was needed now when this ridiculous mantra or myth about training in korea is touted everywhere. if there's something wrong with your training or play, just fix it where you live.

unfortunately, many people will come up with every possible excuse to delegitimize stephano's victory instead of learning from it.

edit1: the post above me says he actually beat way more koreans. good

Millenium is most definitely a known team though

And "only ladder result", just lol , this guy just dont know EU scene at all

ah, I made a mistake? okay, let's see, I fix this

french master series second place,
homestory beat jinro and white-ra in lower bracket and was knocked out by MC,
assembly, got 3rd. tried to avoid playing sen - won. nice, nice. overall beat some europeans
IEM, eliminated in group stage. achievement: taking a game off Puma, nice

yeah, not very impressing, is it? even if it was that's not the point. it was a question of his image as a player, fanboy.

I don't know why I bother answering you

he also beat huk at homestory who was then considered the best foreigner , won dhsummer.homestory
also. to ignore all online tournament and cup results is just stupid, even if they dont rly mean as much as lan.

Awsome tournament. I really enjoyed the ZvZ final. Stephano played like a monster the whole tournament! I think Apollo and PainUser would have been awsome as commentators for it tho.

In terms of watching online, I think this beat out MLG. The stream was better done, production values were there (except for the unfortunate lag issues and some slip ups), and the viewing software was better designed to switch around and watch games. It also seemed slightly better organized in terms of downtime, having things on the stream (even if a lot was fluff), and sticking to a schedule. Not as much "a game is coming on soon" plain screens as MLG. Still think the decision to put up two hours of LoL was pretty bad though.

The only thing missing was the crazy MLG crowds, though hopefully that comes with rep and IPL attracts more/better players next season. Hope MLG was watching and steps up their game.

Amazing performance by Stephano, I was definitely one of the guys who didn't believe he was that good earlier. But, I do think a part of his success in this tournaments was because of his very unique way of playing, the opponents just couldn't figure it out before they were already dead

I was there for the last day of IPL3, and the crowd (while not nearly as large as an MLG crowd, sadly), gave it their all when rooting for Stephano, Visine, or anything else that was worth cheering for.

The venue was great. The casters were great. The streams were great. The games were amazing. I have no idea why there were two hours of LoL though... that was incredibly disheartening... but other than that, it was fantastic.

Would go again.

Finally, I was so happy to see Stephano win. I've been defending players from EU and NA since forever, always telling everybody that this guy could take games off top Koreans and that guy could, but they all fell one after another, maybe some taking series off Koreans but never a tournament win. I hope everyone looks at this wins and decides to man up and start playing A LOT better and start giving Koreans a run for their money.

Stephano fighting!

Ya was really stupid! Wasn't not inn bed before 5-6 a clock inn the morning. Skipped school because of it. Since i had watched the entire tournament live, i had to watch finals!
