Apparently 1-1-1 can mean 1-Rax 1 Fact 1 Starport to 1- rax- 1 CC 1 Bunker and lets not forget 1- rax 1- tech lab 1- concussive shell Its especially bafflig after Top said in an interview that protoss are now holding the 1-1-1 Better + Show Spoiler + Question:questions from the fans, how to handle the 1-1-1 in TvP? any tactics for protoss? TOP - usually tosses block 1-1-1 well... one thing is going robo builds, if you do that you can match the terran well, with the immmortal range buff, hide the immortal, then snipe the tank with the hidden immortal might be a better way Huk also said he would hold the 1/1/1 and then got owned.

obviously 1-1-1 doesn't win all the time, so 1 or 2 protoss will get a couple of wins against it... doesn't mean that it isn't still to hard to hold compared to the execution and skill needed.

he was behind but he wasn't in an unwinnable situation he had enough stalkers and sentries + cannons in the third to hold off the mutas, all he had to do was ff the choke properly, in his natural he had 4+ cannons with a ton of stalkers that could have held off the impending ling/muta attack after getting ff'd out of the 3rd, he had blink nearly finished and he would have teched to either storms or colossi, depending on how many mutas there were i don't know why you guys are getting angry with my comment, but he really did lose that game due to the forcefields

Don't try to make this academic discussion for fuck's sake. Go on and visit online fans forums for soccer etc., people are emotional, whining about this and that. It's normal, and it is supposed to be like that, not an academic discussion. Sorry people who complain about balance should be banned its very irritating when the other player clearly out played his opponent and played very well but gets no credit because supposedly his race is imbalanced. It was annoying when zergs did it (yes i'm zerg) and its annoying when terran/tosses do it.

He did a large amount of damage, so he came out ahead. All-ins are fine tactics though... people just wield the word like it is something evil. Lol. You confused "big timing attack" with "all-in." You have so many posts i PRAY you watch BW. Was the Marine-Medic-1 Tank timing an all in? You HAD to damage Zerg to stay even, but how many times did a Terran only slow down the third, not deal real damage, fall a bit behind, but expanded, got some workers and won later anyways? All in means you either win RIGHT NOW or you lose. Slush did a really strong timing and as long as he did damage he was fine and could get even or ahead. WOAH MY GOD. Again: ALL IN, means ALL IN. No followup, no later plan, just win now or lose. Pulling all your scvs = all-in'ing. Canceling your FE = all in. Building early Roaches and Lings to punish a greedy opening then dealing damage and droning+expanding = big push. The JYP and Anypro 7 gate attacks are not all in but are almost identical in principle to what Slush did.

He might have lost the 2nd game anyways since slush had a macro lead. But he could have held off the lings MUCH better with 2 or 3 well-placed forcefields.
