But because Terran won, Terran is the ultimate cheeser. It was one base vs one base and cheesy strats on both sides from the start.
I understand that people are cheering for the Liquid player and the Protoss hope but I don't know, it just seems silly to me how biased people can be.
I don't really enjoy watching games like this, but that's what I took from it. I hate the huge amount of Terrans in GSL too, but I don't get all the Puma hate.
its puma hate because he was the guy who won, its really just terran hate and its because people are frustrated. Think of every sport with fans ever, if the game is THAT close when your side loses you are upset and want nothing more then to blame something else.
Not to say i liked the game and i 100% understand where they are coming from, its just not PUMA hate its terran hate with pumas name in front

No choice but to cheese I think he lost a lot in the proxy VR (just because it didn't really do significant damage. He also built a handful of Phoenix and lost them very early against Puma's contain. Bleh, I wanted HerO to win but he definitely didn't play a perfect game 3, tough luck I guess.

Yeah its like 10% risk vs 90% reward.
Tough decision.
Anyways I predicted this in yesterday's LR matchup. MC gonna smash this nerd's face.

He did 1-1-1 in one game from the series... Hero proxy stargated that game...

Or one day, we will look back and laugh at why protoss had to resort to gimmicky 1 base strats to hold this 1 1 1 push. I'm certain someone will come up with an expansion timing to hold this off. We already saw glimpses of this from Tails.

It's not really cheese that people are complaining about. It's a very specific build that has been consistently beating high level protoss players. It's not fair to go "omg you're complaining about cheese when Protoss cheesed too" and completely ignore that these complaints are focused on a particular build and not just the generic term "cheese"

Clearly that Nexus cost the game for Hero. Even if he was floating minerals, it was better to build extra gate or something, cus the Nexus will not help you at all. Nexus helps after 2 minutes and its long term decision... It was clear that this game will not continue for that long. Poor decision by Hero cost him the game.

Well, that game was pretty sad. Disregarding balance, the 1-1-1 (sorry if that wasn't it, thought it looked like it) is pretty damn boring to watch, and it's a shame that PuMa resorted to using it to win. He's a really good player and should be able to win without silly business. Edit: Also, that Nexus seems like it buried Hero. Oh, well. The sad Zealot is going to have a few more fans.
Anyway, LETS GO, WHITE-RA!

No thank you. Hero did what he did because he knew puma would 111 just like every single other time has played the damn map vs. a protoss. It was a response, not just a "gay cheese". Scouting a cannon rush and throwing down a forge for cannons and maybe being offensive with a few of them with your scouting probe isn't cheese. This wasn't either.

Risk against protoss? Not much, considering it is very easy to kill the protoss while executing horribly. He pulls 90% of his scvs and 6 minutes later, loses all his scvs, and still wins. No other build in the game has such a high reward for such a low risk.
1/1/1 failing is not a big deal if you don't lose all your scvs to one DT.

Was not MC an abuser of toss, when he was reaping everybody apart? If you can abuse it means you pretty damn good to do so. Mechanically and brain-wise. If you can abuse, it means you'll be good in the first year or so of the game and you'll be gone when the game actually becomes good. Whatever.
LOL shut up. Abusive play? They play to win, not to satisfy some twisted notion from Casual players about fair play. This is hilarious, I guess if Hero had been ¨abusive¨(ie using his tools to their full potential) and did a 7 Gate timming you would be bashing him?

Whatever. It all comes down to bad macro. He could have had an extra gateway... Not saying Hero is bad, the game was awesome and Puma played brilliantly. Just saying that the extra nexus sounded like "obvious" macro mistake... Puma destroyed extra gates that Hero had, that's like complaining that a Zerg is macroing badly if he has no queens.

I think 2 gateways in the beginning of the engagement (right after the phoenix's died while puma was building the bunkers)

Puma didn't cheese, he used a very strong all-in strategy that takes almost impossible control from the Protoss player to stop. The Proxy Stargate was to delay the build, DTs were in reaction to the build to stop the second wave by doing economic damage. Because Terran can bring all his SCVs but still make a second attack-wave Pretty sure it's cheese when you bring 20 scv's to attack with you when you are on one base =.='
Proxy stargate into DT sure is a macro strategy. This is cheese against cheese. What is there to complain?
