well that depends now, if drg gets top2 at providence they have to decide whether to invite no3 at providence or no2 at iem nyc. Basically they need to decide what spot they assign to DRG.

Basically they need to decide what spot they assign to DRG. They could also invite the #4/5 GSL seed player (which is probably the most fair way to do it). But they don't make it clear how they're going to decide and just said that they'll invite "suitable replacements", so yea.

well they probably will do it so that its somewhat balanced racewise, thats how i'd do it

Well, Naniwa's guaranteed a spot now.

Naniwa and Leenock just won there spots for blizzard cup:D

Huk could win Dreamhack again but its gonna be hard so many great players there

The first 6 invited players are now:

IMO since MVP and Nestea already have spots due to being 1st and 2nd in GSL points, they should give the Blizzcon spot to the guy who was 3rd at Blizzcon, Sen.

+ They could invite Sen given his placement at Blizzcon

Each of them was a GSL champ which is way better than a SEA's gosu

From a logistical point of view also it makes the most sense because those players are already there, so there's no need to confirm with them last minute and rush them over.

If GOM wanted Koreans they could have just kept the Blizzard Cup in its original format and invited the top 10 in GSL points. Clearly they changed the format to broaden the Blizzard Cup's appeal. Sen isn't that far away anyways since Taiwan is only a 3 hours long flight from Seoul. Sen is world class at ZvZ and ZvP so it's not like he'd be outmatched. He's 2-0 against MC and 4-0 against Naniwa in the past month.

This is going to be an absolutely sick tournament. I can't wait!

MMA has to beat Oz to pass MC's GSL points. Currently MC has 9115 and MMA has 9048. It's a shame, I would much rather see both at the Blizzard Cup.
Providence MLG winner: + Show Spoiler + I dunno how Leenock rolled over everyone, only saw the last few games of finals. Grats to him but I hope the games aren't as meh.
