Sad but true. Xigua was extremely disappointing. Well we still need to see Jim play! I mean, he 2-0'd Jinro, he can't be that bad lol I will feel a bit bad if no one from China advances. Ya never like to see the home country get stomped.
They'll probably continue to get stomped for the first 2 years on their home ground, after which they'll just tear everything apart all of a sudden. That's how it worked for their WC3 scene too. It's nothing surprising, really.

It's 11:30PM here. Anyone know when they are going to show Jinro's next game?

They probably won't by the sounds of it. Bitter was saying they'd cast Idra vs Jim and since group matches happen at the same time I guess we won't be seeing Jinro vs Elfi T_T

That's only my opinion however. Im not gonna feel bad about not wanting to play IdrA in a long game when he's like 10x better at long game than short game. Looking in your way I have to agree that in THIS situation its okish to do something like that I. I know you need to win at all cost. I am just not sure about what this could result into. Let's say you win now and instead of trying to improving your macro to next tournament to beat Idra in a long game, you just try to improve that hardcore timing attack or that 3 bunker rush to work in an even better way. He/other players will eventually be able to stop that and you will have nothing more to fall back to in your gameplay. I am sorry if I sounded like a Idra fanboy but I really like both of you Jinro and I just wanted to see cool long epic games Tournaments are not the time for practice... Pretty sure Jim is winning our group.
As I said I understand your situation at THIS tournament. I am just a little afraid about what it could result. It could end up for you practicing more that sort of play than trying to improve your macro. It would be bad if you had to rely your gameplay next tournament and so on in something like that instead of going for the big picture. When as I said you will eventually find players that will stop it and you will not have anything else to fall back on.
But what do I know you are the pro gamer here that is just my opinion. Anyway, I also said that I got a little nerd rage after such a short game but I will cheer for you in the tournament Jinro.

I think they are showing jim vs idra... but i'd much rather watch Jinro vs Elfi. Both matches decide the outcome I believe.

please get the volume on a normal level...

This is true. The casting schedule and results are on this page: http://www.esl-world.net/masters/season6/guangzhou/sc2_groupstage/
Says that they will be casting idra v jim and then revival v way

Hope we get to see Iaguz vs Strelok! gogo Gimli!

Lets go Jim! Send idra home 0-3

I dont understand how Idra plays ZvP. It seems every other zerg just gets 3 fast base and holds the 2 base attack the protoss does while making sure he doesnt take a 3rd. Idra just kinda lets him take that third and works around it.

Three months ago Chinese players like XiaoT were playing great games against top players, and you could see it from the way they played their games - not just who they won against. Today they are playing like shit. Chinese players appear to be getting worse and worse as time goes on. Their scene is in serious trouble if that's the case. That said, XiGua, YHY, and Way aren't the players we saw from three months ago. It could be that they're the "new blood" that is getting pounded - rightfully - in their first international ventures. If that could lead to improvements later down the line, then it's good pounding.
I don't think you can make judgements about the Chinese scene from just this tournament. Don't forget that YHY and Way are only here because several players who qualified above them had to pull out. Xigua definitely disappointed but he was in a group with 2 Koreans and a top 3 non Korean zerg.

Ya this from what Miefer said + the fact that China is immensely behind in their structure + history of SCII. A lot of them are laddering on the KR ladder, but they still don't have the teamhouses which Koreans have.
I'm sure you guys have seen the white-board which was in the TSL house (courtesy to Artosis). That whiteboard had a "timeline" on it, which I am sure was describing the timings of certain builds
When you get that kind of training going with that much thinking put into a game, then you'll be better for sure. The Chinese players need the Korean practice house environment before they'll ever get better than NA/European players

is there a place to see the results since the op isnt being updated?

What major tournament have we seen Chinese vs non-Chinese besides the StarsWar tournament? Yeah China kicked ass there but it was an online tournament. Those results were just as deceptive as when foreigners whooped ass on the Koreans in TSL3

edit: Person above me is awesome

will there be a rebroadcast of today's games? I know there wasn't tomorrow because of tech issues but has that been fixed or is it just a setback to this specific tourny in china and not being able to rebroadcast at all?
