The only way to beat stephano is to be boxer, which let's be honest, unless you are boxer, cannot be done

He easily has the skill to play 2races, but at some point he has to include standard playstyles and he knows it himself. His mechanics are extremly strong, but his builds keep on being very risky (like his roachplay/drop play has no antiair at all, his TvZ mechplay invested a lot into double starports for only 2banshees and 1raven, etc...). I think he does so well on the ladder, because he can just outmicro everyone in the western community, but everytime he has to play reactive, his BOs just show big weaknesses. Not saying he should stop being creative, but he has to start using stuff like standard 2base mutalisk openings or tank/marine/medivac armies in some of his games... Absolutely. Creativity becomes a real threat when it's built on a solid foundation. Until he starts practicing those openings, I don't see TLO achieving very much in tournaments.

I always like me some free money. How you want to do this? Goody is not going to take a map from Stephano. As I said, I was only willing to take that bet before they announced to change it to bo3. I'd bet 100€ that a bo5 won't end 2:0, but I don't wanna bet anything on Stephano beating Goody without losing a map. A bo5 never ends 2:0.

Good to see the better player advanced. I'm not sure how anyone could make any conclusions on TLO being a good or bad player in general from his off-racing skills after just a few days of laddering with Zerg. His terran was never anything to write home about either, though.

I guess Grubby would have taken game1 off most other western zergs, but stephano just played so cautious and was able to finally break him.
