Funtime is over, start behaving in here. You all know the rules and this isn't the place for some kind of comments or discussion. Keep it to the games and keep balance, the casters and meta discussions out of here.

Pretty please, with minerals on top.

Very exciting Code A day today! Awesome result for Dignitas, hopefully Naniwa can complete that ro32-success.

You forgot Polt "optimus" Prime

Polt is not part of Prime anymore but I guess he is still in the heart of the fans 8) so we will call him PoltPrime

whats happening in sjow's game, my player just died

They took turns walking into each others siege tanks untill Sjow had more tanks left and Maka GGed

Well they did that until Sjow had more tanks. Then Sjow lost all his tanks to SCVs and they were even again.

Then Maka was a bit ahead, but he walked his marines into Siege tanks and then Sjow was ahead.
But then Sjow lost all his production, but Maka wasn't mining any more so after losing a few more siege tanks to marines Sjow won.

Select doesn't count?

I think Select, being Korean and now staying in Korea has ceded any tangible claim to being a foreigner. I guess you could argue he's on a foreign team.

Korean nationality.
On a foreign team.
Trained amongst foreigners.

Depends on what you mean. When some people say he's a foreigner they leave it implied one of the last two. It's just semantics, people arguing over different meanings. In the end I find it pretty pointless. Does it really matter what he or anyone else counts as?

Well, considering it's one of the major "storylines" of the global SC2 scene, making the distinction is definitely important to people.

The good thing about players like Huk or Select is that you can pick your interpretation. :D

How many foreigners are there actually in korea now? Fenix, SeleCT, SjoW, NaNiwa & SaSe.. who else?

SeleCT is Korean. If you would call SeleCT a foreigner you have to call TLO Swedish and Jinro/HuK Korean.

The only thing that matters when considering nationalities in a game like SC2 is whether the player has had korean practice or not.

In this case I'll still be rooting for Jinro/Huk as foreigners since they're the ones who'll show that you can do well with proper practice schedule rather than having the master korean race genes, whereas with Select, it's just a show that someone who plays NA style can still make it (and become better once he switches to a better practice regime)

So yes, TLO is swedish, Jinro/Huk are foreigners practicing the korean way, and Select is a foreigner.

Honestly, even though SjoW won that game he didn't show the same skill as he did last MLG. I think he was nervous or something. Hopefully he can play even better in the RO 16. SjoW fighting !!

Of course he's nervous; he's been there less than a week, and whatever some people say about the GSL not being worth it for foreigners, if you make the commitment to go r32 is a huge match for you.

I'm not sure I like his chances against Curious since Curious is going to be the next big Zerg presence, but still, I'm happy he got a win on the board and we should be happy we've had foreigners advancing today =)

Hopefully he enjoys the experience, gets some good practice in at the FXO house, and comes out of his stay an improved player ^^

If sjow beats curious I will video tape myself eating a boiled shoe. You can quote me if it happens. Sjow's TvZ is not impressive and it's much more APM intensive. If I were sjow and I really wanted to win I'd just go for 2 rax, blue flame helion drops, or banshees to try and get a ridiculous lead early on.

TvZ is probably the most apm intensive match up in the game. I'll leave it at that.

Not at all. TvT is much more APM intensive. Look at ThorZains TvT, he is also pretty slow. But if you have patient you can slowpush your way to win Spoon-TvZ²

You must have been watching different games than the rest of us then :s

Sure, I'm thrilled that Sjow advanced today, but he only did so because Maka stopped taking him seriously in the second game.

The only game where anyone outclassed anyone, was the first where Maka just stomped all over Sjow. The two other games where a cluster fuck. The games were entertaining, and the guy I was hoping advantage, but they both showed terrible terrible play. Brings back painful memories of the first rounds of the super tournament

Maybe Select is a korean foreigner and Huk/Jinro are foreign koreans. This way everybody wins. Or loses. Lets call it a tie.

People who take Select being a "foreigner" literally need to have their brain examined.

If you're not paying attention in TvT maybe you'll lose your siege tank to your opponent taking heavy losses. If you're not paying attention in TvZ (or focusing on the mutalisks that'll probably be wrecking your main) you'll lose all your marines to banelings.

He almost beat July in the MLG by doing some weird strats. I don't think it's all inconcievable that he could beat Curious in a bo3. Obviously he can't play straight up, that's pretty obvious.

My thoughts on tonight's games
Sc showed some really good control and used and spread out his units just enough where he didnt over extend.
SeleCt has gotten really good the last 2 months and really just out classed Alicia. His medicvac micro was great in game 2 sniping some many gateways not pylons powering but actual gateways and his ghost control was always a step ahead of alicias Templar.
Mc vs monster isn't worth saying to much mc lost game 2 because of sloppy play but game in game 3 I feel like mc knew monsters build to a t and was helpless to stop it because he couldn't take a third and was forced into engagements he couldn't win because of *********
Kyrix vs gumiho pretty standard slayers t owns z not named neastea
Yugiho vs shiny star kind of expected resulted shiny star did ok considering yugiho has been a pretty solid in all his gsl matches to date.
Curious is pretty good and I think could be code s
Jyp is alot better then jooktoo and those matches shouldn't have even been close but...
Sjow is well slow and it shows in his tvt and might also be a problem vs Korean toss who might just out micro him in ghost Templar battles pretty much the opposite of select

MC I am disappoint. You've slumped since the NASL, or maybe even dreamhack before that. Practice more and get back up, a fricking 2 time GSL champ knocked out of code A is shameful.
North Korea is best Korea!
