can you give an example? ive really enjoyed his commentary, and found his game knowledge to be more than satisfactory He kept complaining about the bane speed timings, which were in fact fine. DRG vs Lucifron he was using a heavy ling muta counterattack style similar to zenex line, to get out more drones. Also you don't need that many banes if your already ahead. In the rain game, DRG saw a late seigemode, so bane speed wasn't a big deal and delaying it can get you a slightly better economy. The little things pro-players do add up. Also he kept complaining about heroes force fields and not using them when he actually used them all. I mean it just bothers me when he says that's a mistake, when there's legitimate reasons to do that. Besides pointing out player mistakes distracts from the energy of the game, and i think its more casters trying to inflate their own ego. It annoys me when tasteless and artosis point out mistakes which actually may not be. Just some opinion, good tourney so far! T v P dissapoints me tho :/ err delayed seige means less money into tanks, which means more money into marines, so bane speed is MORE important when you see a delayed seige mode. Nah dude, RedDragon571 knows more about these kind of things than Pro players who praise apollo for his knowledge and casting, who also used to be a decent Zerg player before becoming a caster. :p source dat plz. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Apollo From the first day of the beta Apollo played as Terran, his race in Brood War. He played all day every day until he moved back to Korea for the summer of 2010 to live with Tasteless. He spent his time there talking Starcraft 2 every day with Idra, Artosis and his roommate. Tasteless influenced Apollo to begin commentating and he applied for the position of Day 9s co-commentator at IEM Season V.
Apollo started out the release of the game playing Zerg, playing at a high level but never winning tournaments. He ultimately switched to Random to assist him in his casting.
kk thats legit, I don't think DRG, was making those mistakes, he plays T v Z different from any other zerg really, it seemed kinda weird apollo knows better than DRG. I dunno, just seems like blasphemy, DRG forget bane speed? im sorry but sc2 is FAR away from flawless/near perfect play. DRG, NesTea, MVP etc are all going to make many many many mistakes all game long. while they are playing very well, they have nothing on the skill of BW pros. They were BW pro's? MVP was good, when he plays obvious mistakes don't really happen? NesTea was a 2v2 coach, and MVP's greatest accomplishment was taking a game off Flash(an impressive feat, don't get me wrong). When people bring up BW pros, they generally refer to Flash and Jaedong, two people that genuinely make almost no mistakes in their play.
I heard July, Boxer and Nada were good at BW but I´m not really sure...

It annoys me when tasteless and artosis point out mistakes which actually may not be. Just some opinion, good tourney so far! T v P dissapoints me tho :/ Wow you must have a hard time ever enjoying any games if you think that much about any small imperfections in what the casters say :\ nah i enjoy the games fine, but as somebody who really likes the competitve side of the game, the technical small things detract sometimes that's all. Just a slight annoyance. It just makes me sad to think, theirs gold league lil zergies out their thinking that if they don't get bane speed right away their idiots or something. I think casters miss out on some of the higher parts of high level play. It simplifies the game when they don't include them. Sorry but TB and apollo don't understand like day9 can or Idra or QXC, and wolf's pretty solid too. you seem to be putting your viewpoint accross speaking as a very good zerg (or at least that you think youre a very good zerg, so what league are you in? It shouldnt matter but I'm in masters zerg, :/ , I guess you'd have to be decent at zerg to see some of the finer points to DRG's play. and you think being masters makes you an expert? i offrace as zerg at a masters level yet have no dissilusions of knowing the game down to the smallest details lol so butthurt everyone is, I'm just saying couldn't their be other reasons for not getting bane speed so early, I think they're are plenty. Well when you say something quite silly, expect to be called out on it. Whats silly about that?
You insinuating that apollo could be a gold scrub and doesn't know the competitive side of the game. Pretty silly.

Stop whining. Zerg's won plenty. Come back when you can make a statement without going (Except for in Korea) or some bullshit like that.
