Holy crap it just struck me...that's a lot of Protoss this time round. Possible hope for Code S with all the new blood finally getting into Code A?

Fruitdealer should win versus Sase. Sase got his seed through invitation. Sase doesn't yet got much of korean practice.

I'd say he has a shot at Alicia, it's not a given that he'll win but it's also not a given that he'll just fail completely. How he'd do if he got past Alicia is a complete mystery however. You forgot about him wrecking huk at blizzcon
lol I didn't forget about the NA invitational, I just didn't want to start the is Huk a korean or not debate again. ^-^ Honestly he's down well against korean trained protoss right now so a possible win shouldn't be counted out. I am totally rooting for him but it wouldn't totally surprise me if Alicia pulled out the stops and showed that he is still a code s caliber player.
TBH I think select is using code a as an excuse to practice lag free in korea before blizzcon. He actually can't stay in the country more than few months without losing his greencard and/or ending up available for military duty.
I do wonder if he and Nani practice against each other or if they know each other's style too well for it to be effective anymore.

I'm excited for the increasing number of foreigners participating in Code A, I wonder if any of them will ever make it to Code S, it seems nearly impossible with the amount of solid Korean players who are unfortunately stuck in Code A or B. I shouldn't complain too much because I guess that means the level of play increases --> better games!
bwahaha. I found this post amusing with your icon waving the liquibet winner trophy above your head.

Damn, the only one I am not able to watch is the one with Liquid`Hero
I simply can't wake up at 5am on a day that I absolutely don't need to (only need to tuesday/friday)

I really shouldn't be, but for some reason I find myself really scared for MC... after getting crushed at IEM Finals by a Code B player (who 1-1-1ed in 2 games and IMO shouldn't have won the second) and being knocked down into Code A pretty badly he must be feeling down, and I hope that doesn't affect his play...

Top 4 will be MC, Hero, Check, Tassadar, NaNiwa to make Top 8, lose to check

Yup. Just another mindlessly overhyping, reminds me back when people were talking for every half decent foreigner, "Ah well if he just could go to Korea, he would do great in GSL" , if i got quarter every time i heard that... But anyhow, lets just hope we will get good games, with alot of actions, and not much blunders. And whoever plays better win. Some interesting matches incoming, and nice to see not so many terrans there, considering they all migrated to Code S lol, and Code A got stacked with people getting thrown away from Code S by terrans : /
"Thorzain could easilly get to a Code S finals".
They were funny times my friend.

poor select to get into code A and face a bracket like that
|
Wow, so excited to watch SeleCT vs Alicia
|
Toss heroes look like they have a good chance, with the exception of Tester. Aiur hwaiting.
|
So when does the next GSL code A and code S start?
|
I love Select but i REALLY can't root against Alicia in this one, gogogogo Aliciaaaaa
|
Alicia, HerO, Naniwa, Sage, Sase, MC, Tester.... I really hope you guys make it. ><
|
if SaSe can't make it out against FD.... then I will really start losing hope about foreigners doing well, FD is totally busted, wouldn't surprise me if he quits if he's bumped down to code B.
Select also has a shot but Alicia probably can still rebound from his slump and could give the surprise.... Nani and Sjow are not gonna make it through I fear, but let's not lose hope.
Hero vs Sage in the finals yo

Look at Fruitdealer, now look at Sase, now back to fruitdealer, now back to Sase. Sadly he isn't Sase but he could play like him if he wasn't so lazy.
No but seriously Fruit is going to get smashed. He's always been pretty weak against toss and has played terrible game after terrible game lately. Sase on the other hand might ladder for upwards of 12 hours and has gotten as high as top 20 GM. Like Kiwikaki he seems to generally be a pretty intelligent player and isn't afraid to try something unique so not only can he beat fruit straight up he'll probably have a few tricks to throw him off.
