MC in code A, ok, i am in code A too. just hope that Blizzard makes something before MC and the rest of the protosses go to code B. Please no. The thing is, MC didn't play nearly as well as he already has some time ago. The games against jjakji and Losira were more or less standard games, which he lost pretty lopsidedly. The one loss against Check was just stupid, there is nothing else to say.

But nowadays there are tons of good pro's and only 32 spots so not everyone can make it. It's just something you have to live with. When you're saying "the up/down system is not fair" you're basically just saying "wahhhh my favorite player didn't play well enough to get to Code S." Code A is fun too. You get to see newcomers and fallen veterans. If MC wants to win another Code S championship, he needs to leave his arrogance in Code A. Up/Down is an alright system. It's quite fragile though when it all hinges on BO1's. Especially in an environment where practically anyone can beat anyone of any day of the week with the right map/randomly chosen strat. It's not a very solid system for actually determining whether the best players stays in Code S or falls down. Also, it's subject to buildorderloses and racial balance a lot more than longer series are.

Being honest and perhaps kind of a prick, I have to point out that Check has never been good or relevant enough to be in a slump. Out of all his games, he had one memorable game in GSL Season 1 on metalopolis, he's never made a deep run and has only ever rarely taken wins off strong players. He is absolutely Code A material at best (perhaps a Zerg version of Ensnare). This being said, he showed improvements today, but I just want to reiterate he's never been in a slump.

Prickish but true, now that I think of it. Perhaps I should amend my statement to say that Check is finally becoming a good player and a pretty decent Code A force. So glad they air Code A earlier during the first week. I can catch some of the games. Code A is really damn stacked. Just imagine what'll happen when sC recovers and manages to re-qualify.

I'm still surprised Hongun hasn't dropped from Code S though, him and Anypro never really stood out to me and clung to Code S for a very long time.

Luckily, his surgery came at a time when he didn't have to play any matches. I hope he will be ready to play when the season starts. I haven't read anything that indicates otherwise.
