He lost a game to end up 3-1 Losira went 3-1 Jjakji went 3-1
they all lost a single game.
Check was the guy that fell short in the tiebreak.
It was about as fair as it was humanly possible to be. They're expressing sympathy. Nothing wrong with that...The guy played well, but Losira and Jjakji played better. Some are saying the up & down format is bad, and it isn't.
I think it's great, actually. If only Code S was this tough and Code A stuff was more forgiving.

What amazes me the most is that, the second post in this thread was right, but I bet he didn't see it going this way .
Well played by Check, too bad they only have 2 Code S spots .

Is Moletrap trying to say they sort of called this happening? After he was massively dismissive of both Jjakji and Check at the start of the broadcast? lol >_>
At least Doa stuck up for them a bit.

Check played well today, just a terrible format. What was wrong with the format? The players went 3-1 because they deserved to. Nothing more, nothing less.
It's so hard to get into code S, but so easy to drop into code A and the only reason the format is the way it is now is just to accommodate foreigners. Bo1 is very unforgiving, too. Sure, the players who performed better won, but that doesn't mean that I can't criticize the format for what I perceive are flaws.

Nightmare scenario: What if all 5 players go 2-2?

The days would be longer, but the more games they have to play to advance the better the odds are for the better players to come through.

How many T Z P in Code S now?

Its a group of 5 for a reason, you play FOUR games. So what if you go 3-0 to start? all that means is that you played more games FIRST.
Check, Losira, and Jjakji ALL WENT 3-1.
There is NO PROBLEM HERE. They had the identical EXACT SAME FUCKING RECORDS.
Tiebreakers weeded out the lesser of the three, and that was Check.
Jesus, chill...nobody's saying that it's unfair...

a month ago... mc: "i pick mvp in my group" durrrr

The thing is, there is no 3-0. It's 3-1. Saying he went 3-0 is like saying he went 1-0, and that doesn't even make sense.
Definately think that LosirA and jjakji looked more solid then Check and deserve the spot, but it was entertaining and he played well.

i couldnt be less excited about code s finals : (
just wanna watch updown matches all day

Wow poor Check...yeah i agree its fair, they all played same amount of games, im not qqing, im just sad because it went upside down from him so hard (c what i did there - upside down in up and downs?) :D
|
But one thing about the up-and-down format that I don't like though... your qualification fate is possibly dependent on someone else. In the old format, your fate was entirely in your own hands. This is one reason is don't like round-robins.

You need to read closer at the people criticizing the format, saying Check went 3-0 and that should be good enough.
Just rediculous, its like people are illiterate. 3-1 ISNT 3-0.

Then we have a 5 way tie breaker. Now imagine if they were all Terran...
