It's a fucking retarded sentiment since there is already an EG player invited and confirmed for SCI4. woo, that's as good as confirmation of Demuslim for me =p I was watching Demuslim's stream a few days ago, and Totalbiscuit was in the chat. He basically said Ben is guaranteed an invite to SCI 4.

He even said that in future events he may infact invite some EG players. But why would he ever invite the ones that speaks negatively about him to his own event? Because when he starts taking donations to pay for the prize pool, it should be viewers choice ![]() We started out not taking donations in order to pay for the prize pool. The majority of the SCi series is funded from our own pockets via the LiveStreams that take place over the course of the month and then the TwitchTV ad revenue during one tournament subsequently goes towards the pool for the next. The only reason we opened up an option for donations was due to the fact that some viewers wanted to contribute towards the tournament and they weren't seeing the advertisements on TwitchTV due to their region, adblockers etc. We provided that method not to "fund the tournament" but as an option provided at the community's request. In order to further discourage "donation funded tournaments" we introduced "player tipjars" during this installment so donors could contribute to the player of their choice. We have released several statements saying that we have no problem with Team EG. SirScoots and I personally banter back and forth on Twitter all the time with no issue. If there is going to be argument over entitlement towards who is to be or not to be in the tournament because of a monetary issue, we will simply remove the donation options moving forward and continue as a self-funded series. While I hope it doesn't have to come to that, as I believe that higher prize pools bring more attention to the sport as a whole (and that's what this tournament is all about -- exposure for eSports), I would rather it not be mandatory that certain players be invited and others excluded based on "popularity" in a viewer's choice scenario. We have provided some "fan favorites" in this series and are already taking flack for doing so. If we did go to a viewer's choice situation, whose to say that there wouldn't be conflicts of interest there as well? We may have an instance where the highest donors do get a "voice" in our selection for players, but that has yet to be decided. For now let's just try and enjoy the remainder of SCi3. You can't please everyone and this is in everything, not just eSports.

That is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard, do you even know what "donation" means???: "Donation is the act by which the owner of a thing voluntarily transfers the title and possession of the same from himself to another person, without any consideration" I don't know if you are really able to comprehend the meaning of those words so again slowly for you and all the other morons with a brick-like IQ: With a donation you actually don't purchase anything especially not the right to make decisions, or in other words: if you donate sth. you don't expect anything in return, that's why it's called a D-O-N-A-T-I-O-N. People donate money to TB because they like what he does and want to support that, the only reward they can hope for is a nice warm feeling in their bellies and the gratitude of the community. (and of course more awesome SCIs) So please forget the ridiculous delusion that just because you donated five bucks you suddenly have the right to demand anything... lol Maybe you should ask that guy Colin Smith why he donated 1200$ , maybe then your fog of stupidity may lift

Furthermore I'd like to withdraw one of my previous postings where I was doubtful about the donation and tipjar system. Thanks ![]()

Because when he starts taking donations to pay for the prize pool, it should be viewers choice ![]() OK, normally i do not beat down on dead horse but this statement made me all run over. Let me hammer some word of enlightenment into you. When i donated my money to this i made sure i liked there model to run things. I donated monthly because i thought this is a cool idea to show how much we like this esport. Also how would you feel like if people of blood donation would start have word who too save whit there blood? So get off your damn entitled horse, i donate because i love how SCi works atm, otherwise i would not given them 150 dollar this month to support another SCi. So let me say once again: Donation SUPPORT the model and are not stock market of ownership. When you donate ANYTHING its up you to take look into what this money will be used for and is something you can stand up too. If you do not like how things are run, then do not support it. I wanna thank all who made SCi success possible, when it started it was mere 1500 dollar tournament that all was supported by one man in gold league that streamed almost every night of his SC2 success and drawbacks. What he did there made me and other donates feel that this tournament deserved more. To all Cynical Brit staff i salute you for what you made SCi what it is. ![]()
