Is bearded Riker/Strelok better than non-bearded Riker/Strelok? Experience tells me yes, though I could be mistaken. Anyways, great lineup so far. Strelok will definitely add a lot to this tournament, especially considering how strong a player he is.

I also love how the games are cast live, not replays.

It's kinda strange to draw the " ESPORTS is awesome and it is a real sports" card and on the other hand entertainment is somewhere close to the importance as performance? It's simple: If players play perfectly but boring, noone watches. If they are creative and fun, people will watch. It's harder to play creative and fun, so players will make mistakes and not play perfectly. Watching people bring in more money that those that don't watch, so it's better to make it fun - for the tournaments sake just as much as for the players'. Not much difference to real sports, only few people root for the "best" team/player, most root for a team they like for whatever reason (same city/country, hot chearleader or whatever else). Creativity and fun games make people like the players (why do you think are so many people watching Destiny?) and brings in the most important part of any tournament: Viewers. Also: All of these players are really, really good and in a best-of-100 they would probably beat all of you 51:0, so stop complaining.

In my tournament, entertainment is far more important than performance. That's the way it will stay. There are plenty other tournaments that can be srsbzns.

It's unbelievable, but in the last couple months you managed to make me a huge fan of yours and your endeavors. Keep it up!

Well, I was hugely entertained in SCI2 because (not only) there were really skilled players and players that I have been really curious about like dde or bling. I was wondering about the gameplay and not about what an amazing story it would be if one one player would beat another. It seems like a lot of people like this stuff and possible drama on the forums is apparently really important. I don't, people are different and that's ok, but I think it should be expressed that not everybody loves it even if I'm in the minority.

Populists serve a role to bring in more casual fans or outsiders into their fray to help them learn about something all while being entertained. The more hardcore tournies serve a role to help refine higher build orders and subtle nuances only the more experienced player or observer will notice. For the most hardcore people in any competitive scene, performance does = entertainment, but it will look boring to the casual fan. These types of tournies tend to draw higher amounts of viewers and money but it is what it is, there is a net positive to the scene IMO because newer or more casual people will be drawn in.

a) they sure enough all are very good and skilled players and will undoubtedly deliver high quality SC II entertainment (for the casual viewer as well as the "hardcore" fan) b) their fan favourite status will hopefully attract a ton of viewers which will contribute directly to big ass prize pools for future SCIs and therefore c) will enable TB to organize an all Korean SCI (I'm pretty sure something like that is already in the making...) which will then satisfy all the people who demand more skill. So, to sum up: stop whining and complaining about the skill level of the invitees (which imo is pretty damn high), just have fun watching the tournament (with disabled adblockers) and by doing that you will directly contribute to a future invitational which will fullfill all your desires for korean skill ![]() p.s.: thanks TB and Crew for another awesome tournament
