I don't see why this would matter. I think they try to pick the games of the better players for the best viewing experience possible. Looking at facts, Incontrol is pretty bad.

To say hes pretty bad is kind of crazy. Just because he dosent win MLG dosent mean he's bad. At last MLG he was able to beat choya.
Say if had come through the open bracket only to lose in the same round he had. You would probally say he was on the up swing.
I think with the EG house and his own personal rededication to training we will start even seeing more results from incontrol.
You know, I will actually buy a pass this time around if I'm pleased for the first couple of hours :O Worth it just to skip the damn American commercials lol

When people say, "Incontrol is bad.", they don't mean he is like diamond level or something, all it means is compared to his competetion his play and results are bad and that's a completely fair assessment.
Damn I was just watching CNN about the Hurricane that's probably hitting MLG. That looks pretty bad, if it actually comes close to the Event I don't think they can continue for atleast quite a while :s
Amazing Schedule for friday evening. Will definitely stay up for SOTG.
On August 25 2011 22:45 Zaros wrote: no incontrol games
Not very surprising, considering his last two MLG performances. I'm a fan, but Incontrol seems like one of the weaker players. Hoping for him to prove me wrong.

What's the point of having 2 streams show the same game?
So that the people casting have a chance for a break to rest and get something to eat I think. They show the same casters on both streams during that period.
Man there are going to be some awesome matches I can't wait for Friday woooot. This is going to be one fun weekend. I hope this event breaks new stream records.
I really loved MLG's old schedule, being from Europe I could still watch all of the tournament. But since they added pool play, now I definitely miss every finals, and most of the pool play, which usually has the best players.
It sucks when you know ahead of the tournament that you won't be able to watch semis and finals.
Never watched an MLG online before. So my question is: Are you only able to watch these games through MLG site and pay? or are there other streams free? Don't mind if I have to pay as I really want to watch, but if there is a freebie way then I don't wanna pass that up.

Bah, its better than it was month ago in Anaheim. Everything is like 4 hours earlier.

And that's including a Q&A session with Sundance and Adam. There won't even be enough time left for Day[9] to complete a full laughing session, let alone for actual discussion amongst the pillars.

I'm probably going to die this weekend. Picking up my copy of Deus Ex 3 tomorrow. Planning to play DX and watch MLG. Probably won't even go to sleep XD
who cares about this event? they cover maybe 25% of the games with these streams and no replays... if you aren't a player you shouldn't even care about this event b/c you'll only get to watch a quarter of the games or less
now i have an email to write to Sony telling them how upset i am that i bought a Sony phone to support mlg/esports just to have mlg pull my replays

agree with you.
They release replays. Just a bit later. You'll get the premier games, i much prefer that over the players not getting a fair chance (ie. BO1 or something stupid)

Errr? They do release replays? Plus it's not possible to stream all games, the tournament would take a week, not a weekend.
Is my sarcasm detector failing or are you serious?

I'd recommend the silver MLG membership, HD video is nice and it means you can switch streams without having to watch an advert every time :-)
Bank holiday on monday in the UK = staying up alllll weekend ^_^

why would i pay money to watch 25% or less of a tournament? no replays means they don't get a cent of my money.
OP you might want to note that if you're past a certain point on the globe, the days need to be moved forward one. Eg "Friday" is actually Saturday here.
Gah, have to leave for work at the start of of the losers final at 7:30am on Monday and can't get a day off this time because the AFL decided to extend the season by 2 rounds this year and some of our old software may just break the AFL ladder.
Imperious' guide to not missing a good/hyped match on Friday:
RED Idra vs bomber RED + BLUE HuK vs CoCa and Kiwi vs Nada RED DRG vs Trickster RED Naniwa vs Rain RED Select vs DRG RED + BLUE Ret vs Nada and Rain vs Coca RED Naniwa vs HuK
Only need to double stream watch twice. Although I think Huk vs Coca and Ret vs Nada get the edge. So if you can't double stream, RED is your color!

What is the link TO the streams? I keep on looking but I can't seem to find the links to the streams :/ All majorleaguegaming dot com has is info, not the links >_<
So it's supposed to wrap up around 20:30 EDT - 20:45 EDT. I usually don't pay this much mind, how far off track do they usually get on Sunday? Are they usually pretty close to the 8:45 mark, or do they tend to run >10-11?
It depends on game length, of course, but on average, is their estimate usually close? Trying to plan for Providence since my Raleigh trip got cancelled.

www.mlgpro.com will have streams on the front page once the streams are up

Don't hold your breath for VODs, they take a while to come out, and even then they are HORRIBLE, and down right impossible to navigate.
Why the F can't they do it like GOM, easy to access VODs displayed in order without spoilers.
MLG seem to hide their VODs in the player and have zero organization. Paid last month for the 12 month gold service and didn't actually find the VODs till the last day due to the stupid location they are put on the MLG site.
I actually don't think the times are that bad for us apart from the Monday, Saturday it all starts around 7:00am our time so that's fine, just an early morning for Saturday, Sunday it kicks off again at midnight so get a bit of a nap on Saturday afternoon then just pull an all nighter.
The tough part is whether to stay up all night Sunday then feel shitty the next day at work.
It seems like the schedule is all almost at the same time as Anaheim. Am I missing something here? Isn't Anaheim and Raleigh supposed to have a 4-ish hour time difference? Why is the schedule the same?
I do not see a HD stream pass listed on MLG site for purchase. Is this a change or am I just not finding it? All I see is the 3 month membership etc. Anyone know where to buy the Raleigh HD stream pass?
On August 26 2011 19:52 Technique wrote: Crappy times.
This is as good as it gets for us!
It is disappointing how unbarcraftable US and Korean event times are in Europe, though. We can watch both sets of events if we're prepared to stay up late or get up early sometimes, but they don't ever really drop into opening hours.

I think you just have to become a Silver Member. It's only $9.99 so that's the same as a normal HD pass, and it's for 3 months apparently? Sounds like a good deal.

Wake up? lol. NA timings are always bad for Europe. I wouldn't trade anything for GSL though. Eastern Europe has the best GSL timing. Afternoon series during breakfast and evening series during lunch time.
I don't know if this has been addressed somewhere else, but does anyone know if you will be able to watch both streams in HQ at the same time? It was really annoying how it was implemented last time and I ended up just watching both streams in SQ.
I don't get why MVP changed his mind about coming for MLG.. It's not like he needs extra rest to beat HuK, and HuK is there too so they will both be a bit fatigued, thus evening up the field.

You know how much money is on the line in GSL, right? MVP is doing the right thing.

Didn't the first Anaheim game start at around 5:30PM local time as well? Looks right to me.

Most work places/schools dont have gom player installed on their PC -.-
Anyway on topic. I am glad that everything is revatchable free from vods when I wake up.
StarCraft 2 All streamed StarCraft 2 matches will feature commentary by Tasteless and Artosis (on the Red stream) and Day[9], Husky and JP McDaniel (on the Blue stream.)
However, my recollection is that Slasher said the opposite on Live on Three. So my question is - who do you trust? MLG's brilliant website? Slasher, the peerless source of community information? Or me (an idiot)?

Great stuff, this will help a lot. It was always a bit tedious to sit and count till I figure out the correct time for specific streams in my local time :D
they have one game per hour to cast. I do admit they might want to show other games after they are done with one until the next scheduled game appears. I'm sure they are doing that AT MLG, but streaming wont have that.
