And as a manager i would tell everyone of my players to participate at least.... Yup. Sometimes you may get a favourable bracket where the best koreans eliminate each other. It's definitely worth the $20 for some top foreigners to compete. Should be seeing a few more!

Stephano seems to have signed up, so you can cross him out from that list, along with White-Ra and Ret who I think are invited. Hope more follows his example.

Their team is already ahead in terms of investing in these qualifiers. Also the rumor-inducing slayerspuzzle is on the list but I'll wait until we hear an announcement before making any comments about that.

I imagine that any teams with qualified or invited players will be more likely to also send players to compete in the open bracket.

The roster so far is like 70% Korean haha. Why waste $20? I think this might backfire on IGN? Maybe the foreigners will show up at the open bracket at the venue since I wouldn't expect many Koreans to attempt that. Even if they think they can't place high, it's still a nice $1000 minimum prize? Better than MLG at least.

I understand this thinking. However, I think any "pro" who uses this kind of thinking is basically just saying that they have no confidence in their abilities and admit defeat before even playing. What's the point of being a "pro" then? The days of 'easy' big-money tournaments are gone I think.

If the former, well, it seems that just as a huge amount of money is being pumped into NA/EU eSports, the pro-scene in NA/EU is dying. It can't look good to the sponsors to run a 1000 players qualifiers and have only ~50 people show up - that doesn't demonstrate a lot of interest from the pro-gamers, and without the pro-gamers, where's the scene? I mean, I understand that $20 might be a little too much for amateurs. But the NA/EU teams should have no issues sponsoring their players for $20. I don't see why people are speculating on the $20. It's $70 to play at MLG and you have to travel on your own. Besides... who cares if it's only 50-man. I don't care for 1000-man brackets filled with diamond league scrubs and a handful of world-class players. Edit: Haha I'm dumb. I speculate myself. Hypocrite. ^^
