Thank god MaNa plays a Korean protoss next, even though it's MC.
No late game there, so his small errors in macro shouldn't come to bite him in that set.

That was really moonglade's game to lose. Good macro/map control, but he teched so slow and was 2/1 ranged against a 3/3 protoss. Earlier broods/upgrades and less silly attacks and that game would have been in the bag. Relatively well-played by Mana though.

I find it funny that BW Terrans imported many of their BW strategies (drops all over, harrass, siege tank pushes) almost immediately to SC2 and tried to make them work. Protoss seem to just be rediscovering what they did for years in BW. Sure, they tried it every now and then, but it seemed they gave up pretty quickly and are now just trying them again.

That warp prism play is very situational. One viking will shut warp prism completely since they are so weak

The Warpprism has 140 HP ( combined ) thats just 10 less then a Medivac. Its not like 1 Viking will instantly kill it.

There's one gigantic difference between terran dropping and protoss dropping. Terran dropping is instant damage, what I mean is that once units are dropped, the damage is done, and it doesn't really matter too much if the medivac is lost. In comparison, when using WP as protoss, you NEED the WP to survive, either to warp in more units, or to give mobility and enough survivability to HTs (or any other unit) to actually cause damage.

This is essential, because in order to shut down medivacs, you need a viking squad, or a stalker ball, or a muta flock, so you can kill it BEFORE it drops. Against WP, you need only one or 2 units, because if you can threaten the WP to die, the strat is mostly shut down. The one exception is the type of battle which happened in this SeleCT vs MC game, since once the HTs are dropped and the templars are spent, the WP might as well die, it doesn't matter that much.

Absolutely not, the quick damage by terran drops in not comparable to WP drops, have you seen how long it takes 8 marines to destroy a zerg base? How about 8 marauders taking down a nexus. If 2 medivacs manage to drop a base, the damage is done, it's hard and it's almost instantaneous. A 4 zealot drop in comparison, takes long even to kill some SCVs, they're completely different.

BUT that has nothing to do with the Medivac/WP but the Units that are dropped. Drop 4 DT and they'll do insane damage as well . Protoss doesn't have the greatest units to harass besides DT's yes but this has nothing to do with WP/Medivac themselves.

4 zealots => 45 sec
so in a way you are right about the initial damage, but yeah, if you can warp in, zealots => 22 sec, so more risqy but more effective if you manage to do it

It has, because my point was that in order to make WP effective you need to keep them alive and close to battles at the same time, and since terran has these very effective units, you don't need to keep those medivacs alive to make them effective. Once the units are dropped the damage is done.

WP, in order to be useful, need to be alive, which is why 1 or 2 vikings shut down almost any WP play while 1-2 vikings can't shut down medivacs. Basically, the usefulness of a transport is determined by the units they can carry (this much seems obvious), and since WPs carry units to protect them (HTs) or carry units with less DPS (nearly anything else) they need to stay alive, unlike medivacs.
