He is probably not really confident he can place high. The last couple of tournaments he didn't play really high as well. He is going to Korea soon. I guess he just wants to focus on going to Korea instead of being beaten by Koreans in a lot of tournaments.

And if you think Idra is afraid of losing, wtf? Did you miss those 3 years where he was in korea, playing a game he had almost zero chance at all in? Lol

Well if he's chosing to forfeit rather than lose he might aswell stay in the USA than go to korea. Professional players ducking their contractual obligations to their team/sponsors because they don't wanna lose in a Big LAN event seems.. pretty far fetched as theories go.

Did you miss those 3 years where he was in korea, playing a game he had almost zero chance at all in? Lol At that time the foreign community wasn't as big. Not as many people followed Idra. It was expected he lost a lot. SC2 is different. He is at a bigger team. Has to represent a lot of sponsors. etc. BW is not SC2. Practicing in house is not the same as playing in a tournament that is sponsored by Intel which is also the main sponsor of EG. Also Puma and HuK are already at the tournament. So the sponsors already get a lot of attention.
